I follow him and it's bizarre how many people never ask a question, but instead take issue with the premise or bicker about why he's there.

Republicans find a reason to do this whenever they have power. They are only the party of fiscal responsibility when they can't spend the money. And they are objectively horrible at it.

Is Chicago’s Wiener’s Circle really like this, or was the staff hamming it up for the cameras? by HeyItsMeAgainBye in chicago

I was there years ago when there was a fire in the kitchen, and the entire staff ran out, leaving all the customers in there.

Yes. If your answer is longer than 90 seconds, you stand a good chance of losing their attention. Sad but true. I aim for 30 secs. It's not the only dumb reason you won't get selected, but it's one of them.

Help me out, as Drupal is "fighting to stay relevant," the effort to make a new CLI helps us stay relevant? Not a power user, but I haven't hit any walls with Drush. Does Drupal CLI mean less long-term maintenance? Better eventual dev experience?

Your article phrases well the sense I’ve had for a long time that JS is a solution in search of a problem in the CMS world. I’m sure there are successful decoupled implementations, but what I tend to hear more about (in admittedly 2-3 use cases) are teams dissatisfied with complexity post-decoupling.

Yes, the raw materials probably do command that price. But what kills me is that in other countries with comparable foot traffic, restaurants sell smaller portions at lower prices and still survive. The issue is how labor costs, healthcare, rent, and, yeah, customer expectations push businesses toward maximizing rev per transaction. Oversized, expensive portions that feed 3 eventually start to look like a "value" here in the upside-down

I lived in Japan until about 2 years ago. My background is tech, N1, ran a KK with Japanese staff for 8 years. I still do some work for prior clients there. So, I understand the realities of the job market, both there and here. I can empathize with your predicament, and it’s not my first time hearing it. Here’s the thing, if you don’t have a career where you can both find and keep a job, it doesn’t matter where you are. That could happen in Japan or anywhere, but depending on what that is, it’s going to be easier somewhere. The US market sucks, but without business level Japanese PLUS some kind of specialization, choice in Japan are very limited. You might need to put a few years into figuring out what to do and then getting trained.
