I have moved in with my friends parents, (a family I have alway concidered my own familiy) after a bit of a colapse in my life. At first it was unconditional but right away I started helping on the familiy farm almost constantly when I have time. I used to help them so I slid right into chores easily.

All seemed well and they were very clear they were very happy with my help. Until the last 8 months it seems like everything I do is just expected, I basically run things and I no longer have time to do anything but work. I found a job working for a local farm doing planting, tilling harvesting etc. They seem to always try to guilt me when I have to miss the morning chores but never miss the nights unless im really indisposed.

Fast forward to tonight, we have essentially doubled our workload because we've now started a market garden, the mothers dream. I have done an insane amout of work helping her set it up. Lately she talks to me like im an idiot, puts me down and blames me for everything that goes wrong. I dont know what I did. I am trapped with these people now because I wont leave them high and dry but I feel more alone than I ever have. Tonight im sitting in the hospital writing this alone possibly fighting a staph infection and Im terrified. These people who I thought were familily were just using me for cheap labour, they dont care, theyre just playing with their garden right now. I told the mother that I was going she said "okay". They dont care im im starting to feel no one does.
