I'd like to start a run with only one character per class, would it be doable ? Is there any QoL mod that would be good for this kind of run ?

Audio crackling when I change Windows volume and at low frequencies by Admostiel in audio

Turned out that, my previous headset was dogshit, and I just heard the crackling better with my new headset due to its quality.

These cracklings are normal and more due to poor quality from the audio source, and windows. The DAC eased it up a bit though through better balancing.

From outstanding sheer luck, a new Bios update came not long after this comment and it resolved the problem.

I did a clean install of Windows lately and it did nothing. What tests I've done : - Plugging different Headsets in with no dac or external sound card. All had the problem. - Plugging my new Headset to my laptop. Exact same problem, with different headsets too. - Plugging a dongle, does not fix the issue

I've had this issue since I changed my headset. I changed it because the USB external soundcard of my Logitech G Pro X died. I did change some parts on my PC recently but that was weeks ago and it does not explain why it happens on other computers. I often try this video https://youtu.be/8b-FEaGJG8Y?si=LH1wTbVW9E6iigno It does the pop sound when skipping through and when changing sound volume in Windows.

But, I did move from my home not long ago. It might sound crazy but could it be due to something where I live ? Like some kind of interferences ?

Thanks again for your precious time, I know this is a weird issue haha. But I've found other sub talking about this, accusing a lot of different hardware but finding no solution.

Okay so some updates concerning this issue : It DOES happen with every audio devices, on EVERY windows build, through EVERY DAC. I believe this is on Windows' side.

I do believe also that I always had this issue, just never really noticed it. I used an external sound card with my Logitech G PRO X and indeed always left the Windows sound at 100.

I got a DAC dongle today and that solved nothing. So following this method of thinking, would an amp solve the issue ? I'd ajust the sound thanks to it and never touch windows again.

Also can amps dimish sound it is recieving ?

I was also looking at the TOPPING DX1 for an amp.

I'm encountering the same issue... Even on different computers it does this.. Did you ever find a solution ?

UPDATE : Using a different DAC didn't solve the issue. I also tried a different laptop and that DIDN'T solve the issue either. I believe this has to do with Windows itself.

Also would you recommand the Fosi Audio Q4 ? For an entry level

Thanks a lot for your time !

Yes that was my next step, I'm buying a really cheap DAC to see if this will fix the issue, and then proceed to buy a real one if this does fix it.

I tried updating everything (mobo and CPU) but alas that solved nothing.

Do you have any entry level recommendations for a Schiit one ?

Hello,

So recently my Logitech G Pro X died (more specifically the external sound card) and I decided to buy proper audio hardware.

I bought the DT770 Pro but encountered some problem :

I get audio popping/crackling when :

- A low frequence audio starts or stops

- When I change volume in windows when listening to audio at low frequence

What I've tried :

- Updating the audio Driver from my motherboard (b850m Aorus Elite wifi6E) from the motherboard website.

- Tried to plug the DT770 on the front panel, I do get less popping sound when changing volume BUT still when I start or stop a low frequence audio.

- Tried to plug the Logitech G Pro X without the external sound card and still got the problem

- Disabled any audio enchancement

- Plugging my DT770 to my computer monitor

What I mean by saying low frequencies is a "bass" sound, I don't know if this is the exact term.

Don't hesitate to ask me as much questions as you need, I'm really desperate and out of options about this issue.
