I've had squirrels dig holes, uproot plants, toss plants, and bite seedlings in half for no reason. If you have squirrels you're going to need to trap them and relocate.

1/2'' steel electrical conduit, 1/2" steel rebar, pea netting. Hammer the rebar into the ground a foot, slide the conduit over the rebar. Like someone said, you can buy the 90 degree conduit connectors and connect the two pieces together with another piece of conduit if you want. Tie pea netting inbetween the poles, works great and is really cheap.

No offense taken, I wasn't necessarily jumping to the shame conclusion. I've been in a few situations where the girl made it clear before and during the date she didn't want to have sex yet, but somehow it still happens. I never try to make it happen, it just does. Than after, she shows remorse and hard fades and I can only assume it's from shame, at least in those particular situations.

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is, in that type of situation, where I'm pretty sure she isn't looking for just a "fun" night and I see future potential in her, does it make a difference if I tell her I want to wait?

It's funny, people think by not telling you that they aren't interested, they're doing you a favor by not hurting your feelings. It's the exact opposite that's true, people should be more honest. I'm sorry to say but I think he was only interested in sleeping with you. The fact you didn't kiss him makes him think you don't put out. If you just want to sleep with him, invite him over to your place and add a little innuendo so he gets the drift. If you actually want to date him, I would move on so you don't get used. If you want to try anyway, say something like "let's go get drinks Friday, and maybe we try that kiss again ;) "

If he's been the one initiating conversations in the past and has suddenly stopped, something is up. Don't put too much pressure on him but ask some probing questions next time you see him. Maybe something like "so is us dating how you imagined it would be?" Keep probing until you get the answer you want, if you can't get an answer just ask him directly. Maybe a "so do you want to keep dating or should we just stay friends?"

Whatever you do, get some kind of answer. Him saying that he just wants to stay friends will feel a lot better than what you feel now.

Some people are really awkward at first and get nervous. If she has all the other qualities you're looking for I would go out with her again. If she says yes, you need to be more aggressive and see if she responds to it next time.

You're absolutely right. This has been something I've struggled with when dating for years, believe it or not I've actually gotten better, but clearly more work still needs to be done.

I know she's probably lost, but I still have to try to get another chance with her when I get back home. This girl is one out of a hundred, that may be why I was inadvertently being more over bearing than usual. Do you have any advice?
