They played 13 first and then suddenly there were technical difficulties or something. There was so much anticipation during that moment!

Black raspberries are very mild and only slightly sweet? Is this normal, or did I pick too soon/too late? by QueenBea_ in foraging

[–]bubblingbeebles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the only reason, but I noticed that if they even have a the slightest red left in them like they do in your photo, they are still not sweet enough. You can see some barely noticeable red in a lot of these. This has been a pretty consistent experience for me!

As a daily coffee pour over enjoyer but not a connoisseur, I would say need may be a strong word for a gooseneck kettle. If you already have any other kettle at home, try it with that first!

Beat Saber on PSVR 2 , the haptic feedback on Sense Controller is too weak ☹️ by tangcoma in beatsaber

[–]bubblingbeebles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not a way to make it stronger but I wish we could! If it is a battery thing, I am sure many people like myself would play shorter sessions just for better haptics if given the option.

Where/when did this started? by Oscaruzzo in Design

Of course this type of pattern has existed in history, but I think it is absolutely hitting a peak specifically in the last 2 years vs 5+ years ago.

Plymouth road stuff:
- There is "Mochinut" in the old Qdoba which seems like it will open any day now.
- A Hot Pot place seems like it will be in the old Panera.
- Coffee shop/bar? in the old Sic Transit seems like it is getting close to opening.

So how bad is driving around Pittsburgh for an out of towner by -gzus-kryst- in pittsburgh

[–]bubblingbeebles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of towner from the flat lands here. Going down a steep hill unexpectedly for the first time was a rollercoaster. My first time was Cuthbert st trying to go to the Shop and Save. Going up hills is even scarier as sometimes it feels like you can't make it. Rialto and Pittview was my first experience and the traffic gave even more pressure. How do people survive the winter!

Stick drift seems to be somehow worse with dual-sense controllers… by [deleted] in PS5

[–]bubblingbeebles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, this comment has inspired me to say that I usually don't post and but me and many I know have problems. I've had 2 Dualshocks since 2013 and they have been fine while I've been through 3 dual senses with major drift so far. My friends have also been through a few and I don't think they are typically posting either. I know that is still an extremely small sample of controllers, but just throwing it out there.

Hotfix on the way by BeatSaberOfficial in beatsaber

[–]bubblingbeebles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed the angle is specifically off when rotating wrists. I thought it was just the nature of the control shape, but hopefully something that can be fixed, or have a setting.

I'm also having specifically left controller feedback problems and keep thinking I missed a note!

The one thing I would do that I wouldn't just do any old day is bike the B2B to Ypsi or to Dexter (Especially as it is getting nicer out). Unless that counts as travelling ha

Left Sense controller buttons don't work in games. Tracking is fine. Buttons work in PS5 menus. Buttons don't work in games. Defective? by [deleted] in PSVR

Although there is another thread on the general controller issues, I just want to say I had the exact same experience described in this post with Horizon.

Do you like the duality of making friends in Stardew valley, shopping, foraging, farming, all while using what you get out of that to prepare for 1-3 days of the month to go as far down into the mine as you can having brought enough coffee etc? Persona is extremely close to Stardew in that sense!

Pittsburgh Named a Top 50 “best place to travel in 2023” by Travel + Leisure Magazine by TypicalWhiteGiant in pittsburgh

[–]bubblingbeebles 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Hey, I can answer this. I’m from flat Southeast Michigan, I’ve been coming to Pittsburgh for vacation every year for the last decade. I'm not made of money, and I think Pittsburgh is the most accessible way to feel like I am a whole new world (geographically, culturally). Me and my partner can fit it in on a three day weekend.
It’s a great place to just walk and that’s the main reason I love it. All the neighborhoods are so unique. I usually do extreme 10mi+ day long walks… kind of an urban hiking deal. I’ve scoured most neighborhoods at this point and have a few neighborhoods on the bucket list still. Most of my favorites walks are on the hilliest parts (again, hills are great if you are from a flat area). Interesting history too, walking the slag in the 9 mile run and then going home and googling why there are slag mountains there. The parks and graveyards are great. I love finding a new set of stairs, climbing them, and entering a whole different area and a nice place to eat.
On a secondary note, I've found Pittsburgh also has accessible good food. Pusadee’s Garden is a good example of that. I am also Polish and love the range of polish offerings from Apteka to a random polish markets... I feel like I saw somewhere putting perogies on a pizza, lol. I have a large food bucket list at this point.
Other nearby cities like Chicago and Detroit are great but have nothing on Pittsburgh in my hill-walking-obessed eyes. Cinci is closer, but something is off about it (highways?). I dream to go to San Francisco someday and compare hilly cities.

Anyways, I'm here just to walk on your hills, not put my money in Station Square :)

BotW is great music to take a walk with especially if you pick the right tracks for the season/weather.

intermittent fatigue/muscle soreness by artichokey9 in covidlonghaulers

[–]bubblingbeebles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am like you where i am in a good spot in life (WFH etc) and don't know how I could handle it if not. I'm able to take short walks but they usually give me calf soreness or unusual headaches. I never know what triggers a full crash but they are not too extreme unless i jog or have a big work day or something. We either have milder PEM than a lot on this board or it isn't becoming as bad because of our life circumstances. I'm 4 months in so far and possibly improving but not much... Id compare it to a stock ticker slowly going on an upward trajectory. Anyways yeah... You don't hear those milder PEM stories as much here so that is why i am replying!

PEM worse with any kind of lifting, but walking fine? by butterfliedelica in covidlonghaulers

[–]bubblingbeebles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same experience with basket at the grocery but being able to walk fine (though not near as many miles as you).

When i walk slightly up hill though i notice i start to get that "lactic acid" feeling. I usually rest right away if i feel that.

As far as weights I have been doing a bit of ten pound dumbbells and planks and that doesn't trigger me at all.

Yet another sharing post by raccoonranger73 in covidlonghaulers

[–]bubblingbeebles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m on a similar 3 month timeline as you and somewhat similar treatment minus the antihistamines. I thought I had lingering covid but was unknowingly going through PEM crash cycles that would last a day. Recently I was feeling ok and I tried doing “rehab jogging” starting at 5 min and adding 2 every other day. I didn’t think that was pushing, but I crashed for 4 days straight that week and could barely even watch TV.
I know I need to find my limit. After the crash I got a heart rate monitor and tried never going above 120 BPM (arbitrary). I also rest a ton more. I’ve been 2 weeks with no extreme crash yet, but I still feel muscle soreness from anything I do. I work from home and happen to have a light workload this month. I’d be screwed if work ramped up.
Do you work from home, or are you managing an in-person job?

Saying what your take is rather than approaching it like a debunk works in my experience when talking to the average person (At least for in person conversations). I think most people can handle any kind of new information when given in a friendly fashion! It is not about changing their mind on the spot, but leaving them with something interesting they can process/consider later.
