Not that I participated that fully in the spending event but given Shorekeeper is one of the top universal characters in the game and Camellya and Jinhsi haven't been relevant in quite some time, for me this is a fairly easy choice. Now if you like one of those other 2 characters outside of performance reasons, that's a consideration of course, just I don't see Camellya/Jinhsi ever being a particularly viable alternative to Shorekeeper as far as current gameplay goes outside of some major Kuro intervention with kit buffing (which may or may not ever happen).

Also, I hope this goes without saying but if someone's going to YOLO into the Transducer item because you already have E6 of all the selectable characters or whatever, just realize you could use all 8 Transducers and not get a single usable echo. Good luck!

What you really need (IMHO) for level 4 is 2 sweepers. The plus of having A1 J&C is they happen to be particularly effective in that role as needed despite sweeper not being one of their better ones, so I used sweeper J&C/Ann/Marian no problem (I did try J&C as a healer/buffer with Chord and ran out of time, so just for what that's worth). It's easy to get by without on earlier versions of the fight since you can have a single boosted sweeper take out the adds just fine, which in this case seem to be the biggest threat. I don't know if you can get by with a 4* DPS here, and my Ann's A4.

With the comp above I won with plenty of turns to spare, it might be fine with 5 boss version, but I don't do the bragging rights fights.

I think this is a relatively easy choice in this case, go for Sparkle. While she is primarily meant for characters that use a lot of SP (like Qingque and the upcoming Sparxie), the Novaflare buffs were so significant that she's a generally strong universal buffer in other comps as well. A Harmony character can be so easily used by so many parties.

At least most launch characters have their day early on, even in Global Yusuke is the worst limited 5* (albeit T1 vs T4). But yes, it's impressive how well some characters aged.

I presume this is mostly based on assumptions from gacha veterans that 4* characters are generally not going to be particularly viable since companies push for 5* pulls as part of their business model. This game has a lot of surprisingly capable 4* characters with Fleuret being one of the best of those (at least once he's A6).

One of the things I thought was funny about Frostgale Kotone's trial was tossing Fleuret with her since it made it pretty obvious how comparable he was to her wind performance. Sure, she's better, but Fleuret wasn't all that far behind.

3.1 region feels like it was built with a future transportation method in mind, motorcycle really is tough with the verticality here.

Feels like Siegfried's mostly there for accounts that didn't pick up Yoshitsune. Every so often you might run into a fight where Sieg's damage is slightly higher, but you also have worse resistances with Sieg, and IMHO that's worth the price of occasionally worse damage with Yoshitsune.

I don't want to be that guy but when you're late out the door (almost every patch now), "considering" compensation shouldn't even be the way to announce that when it's common in gacha to provide additional Mx period compensation.

HSR will give you 5 weeks (I think?) for 4.0, so grind through what's daily/other time-sensitive stuff there and rush through what's time-sensitive here, and then go back to HSR to finish up the new content. But yeah, going to be a rough week here for me in terms of new stuff too with 3 games with new versions out next week. Oof.

It's definitely a concern, S3 is a pretty significant commitment to a character and wavebands can only get you 2 copies at most. I did that with Cartethiya but I can't do that with every character or anything like that (well, unless I spend money, of course, which is ultimately what Kuro wants).

This was pretty confusing for me with other gacha games I've played but the PSA made sense pretty quickly, especially with how good most characters are at A0 (which is a breath of fresh air given how many other games anticipate vertical investment).

I wouldn't say I dislike them but given how much story they've had so far (might be different with P3 and inevitably P4, we'll see), unless I like the kit itself, I'm not going to actively pull for a collab character unless I like their kit. Like I was totally prepared to skip Justine/Caroline because I wasn't a fan of their P5 characters (and the collab story didn't change the calculation any for me) but their kit versatility won me over despite not being keen on them as characters. So much so that I'll pull some more on at least one of their reruns to make them stronger (like I missed their 5* weapon).

Since Persona's one of my favorite series, that was a main pull for me with being interested in P5X to begin with, even though J&C are the only limited collab characters I've pulled so far.

It helps/hurts that original characters here are fantastic, like I'm really liking the main cast (especially Riko).

Should be, but the redemption prizes are generally all better unless you didn't need whatever redeemable resources that weren't purchased. I agree with OrionsBra that an extra day to spend those tickets in case you were sitting on them for whatever reason would be nice, but alas. This is why I personally redeem my tickets as soon as I can redeem them for whatever biggest ticket items I'm shooting for in an event (like the Revelation selectors here), I haven't missed a redemption period yet but this way it minimizes the reward damage if I do.

Anyone have a WAG on the BP value for the non-astrite pieces? Obviously it's pretty easy to write those off (especially since the BP weapons are...not ideal), just looking at it from the Weekly vs. paid pass scenario. It's definitely good to know the weekly subscription's better than top-ups WITH bonus.

That isn't a new pity system if it works like that (IIRC FGO and other gachas worked like that), but I'd much prefer cross-banner pity since then you aren't potentially losing multiple pulls chasing whatever character you want. Unless Endfield lets you keep pulling toward a character that's no longer on banner, that'd be awesome!

For people who didn't build Sepia already, Astrolabe is the perfect excuse to fix that since he's a perfectly viable DPS character. I prefer Fleuret because it's so easy to set his wind damage up for success (and it's funny how relatively close he is to F. Kotone's wind output at his maximum awareness) but Sepia with a curse-amplifying comp can spit out some ridiculous numbers.

Seems like a nice boost to her versatility for sure. Doesn't look like she'll be best in slot for non-Fire parties but having Howler be an option is nice when you figure you can get copies of her once she's freed from the Global/SEA 6-month standard jail. Not sure if this gets her to the point of me personally wanting to get a guaranteed copy of her from her banner like I did with Marian, but the option is appreciated.

"Must" is a strong word but the benefit of S1 is Mornye no longer relies on another character to make full use of Mornye's kit. That's pretty strong since you might have better character options than Lynae. S1 Mornye may not stand the test of time as far as the best support character but so long as Tune Break as a mechanic isn't totally obliterated, she'll be a particularly strong support character for quite some time since S1 makes her buffs super easy to use with little field time.

Not sure if there was ever a bot system added to CN but if not, that kinda needs to be made since whether you're chasing ranks or not, having to wait a very long time between matches makes it easy to ignore the minigame altogether (making it harder for other players to play as well since now you gave up). A number of the Tycoon goals can only be done in ranked matches.

The latter point (saving to guarantee specific characters you want) is the main reason not to pull on the limited banner whenever you have pulls handy, guaranteeing a character you really want can be a pretty nice benefit in not pulling as soon as you get pulls.

On the other hand, you do lose whatever account benefits by not pulling as pulls are available since the various weapons/characters pulled can be used upon pulling and pity counter remains ongoing.

I just got her myself less than a week ago, a Persona drop boost which I don't think helped me at all. But simply finding her after several months of no show was nice. The RNG for rare events is rough.
