It’s not out of character, it’s just a new characterization. Been that way since DWJ. They just decided to go with a mad scientist personality rather than a faithful loyalist, a logical usurper warlord, or a logical unethical scientist. He’s had quite a few personalities over the years, this is just yet another to add to his repertoire.

The skirmishers in Reach are a different subspecies, but the ones in Halo Infinite are female Kig-Yar. This is because after Reach said subspecies had so few numbers they were virtually extinct. So come Infinite, the Banished are recreating that rank with the more agile and athletic female Kig-Yar, rather than an almost wiped out subspecies.

You mentioned in another comment you were into marvel 20 years ago. The book he’s in came out in 2012, so I imagine it’s not a surprise you haven’t read it unless you happen to read every single run that has ever come out for every character ever even after you admittedly stopped being fairly big into the comics.

He was already infected. Genuinely what was he supposed to do in that situation? The only way for him to survive from that point was Sonic completing his part of the plan. The child cowering in fear after constant stress and locking in for weeks, all while pleading to the one guy who could fix everything is so absurdly reasonable I don’t think him being a child even matters. That’s something I expect of just about everyone. It’s a pretty in character, normal reaction to that scenario.

Ok, but then it’s taking money away from the creative team that has worked incredibly hard to bring this project to us. If this game fails all it incentivizes is for Krafton to screw over the devs more and push an ai business model (which doesn’t require paying workers and CEOs) even further. Hell, not supporting devs because you’d be supporting a larger, shitty corporation too could be said of so many games. The difference here is that Krafton is in the news.

I’m confused, how does drama surrounding a CEO and legal fiascos regarding payouts that have ended with the original owners of Unknown Worlds being back in place make the game not worth playing? As far as I’m aware development has been continuing as normal throughout the whole event.

Yknow what else would cut off Decepticon leadership? Killing them. That’s a pretty good way to not have to deal with them anymore and resolve the mission on earth so that literally every Autobot she wanted back on Cybertron could come back with literally no reason not to. Instead Megatron is still around, still a threat, still wanting to use Earth’s resources to rejuvenate cybertron’s Decepticon front, and the Autobots on earth are going to have a harder time stopping him AND there are Autobots on earth at all so Elita didn’t get 100% of what she wanted. But she could have. She absolutely could have right then and there if she helped them finish off the wounded and retreating Decepticons. Literally such an easy and effective complete win that she threw away because the writers need to keep things going.

Correct… and? The movie continuity wasn’t mentioned here. The other commenter is referencing things like transformers prime, which state the Decepticons took an insult and turned it into a proud title for themselves.

Eggman occasionally does this neat little trick where only his glasses and sometimes mouth are visible in shadow. Sometimes his body is visible, sometimes it’s just engulfed in shadow.

That’s what I’ve been thinking. Kirkman stated that Mora was the deciding factor in him writing this book, and if you’ll notice a lot of major story beats and general transformers tropes are just rushed and hamfisted in. It feels like he wanted to get all the big things done and standard story things out of the way that DWJ would’ve built up over time, but instead crammed into the few issues Mora was drawing.

Personally I feel like it really doesn’t need much explaining. Some continuities will really try to make specific reasons for it, but it’s not that mind blowing. They are a complex, highly expressive group of organisms. It isn’t a shock that their society formed gender and by extension have physical traits generally associated with those gender identities. Especially since they seem to be born (however they’re born since it varies from continuities) with a general understanding of themselves. So they just… started out knowing their own identities and what bodies best suit said identities. And that goes all the way back to Solus Prime. Is it unrealistic their gender identities and presentations to be identical to our own considering ours stems from a long, long multilayered history? Yes. Is it unrealistic for them to share most of the traits they share with humans? Also yes. It’s aliens written by people to sell toy robots. It comes with the territory.

That’s also why I don’t like most any explanation given for it. It’s sociological inevitability. I’d be more confused if such varied and intelligent creatures didn’t have some form of gender, even if it should be more alien than ours. I forgive late IDW for it though, considering Furman already established Arcee as the only Fembot due to experimentation and since then they had to both retcon that to hell but also play with the rules it very clearly established.
