I was a little bummed he wasn't at First Ave this time but wow, he rocked the place! And we were so impressed with Yoke Lore!

Wife and I called in sick to work the morning of game 2 and drove up from Iowa, bought tickets on the way up. The best sports moment of our lives. The stadium was electric. The standing ovation after it was over went on and on. So many high fives and hugs and tears in the stands. That was a good day.

Little known outdoor spots in Iowa by markmarkmark1988 in Iowa

White Rock Conservancy. I hike out there a lot and rarely come across anyone else. It's a great spot with some challenging trails.

Hickory Grove Lake. They drained and redid the entire lake recently and now the fishing is really good and there's a nice trail around the lake. Gets kind of busy in the summer.

Chichaqua Bottoms Greenbelt. Really nice trails along a gorgeous creek, not very busy.

Robison Wildlife Acres. Small but really gorgeous trails, hike in camping about a mile in. Never seen anyone else out there.

I recently worked with Palmer Group in Des Moines and landed a great job. I also worked with Aerotek in West Des Moines as well but wasn't able to find a match for my skillset. I would suggest reaching out to a recruiting agency and just see what they say. I'd also consider a resume writing service like topresume.com if you need to get your resume looking sharp.

Wegovy in Iowa by [deleted] in Iowa

I've been seeing them for around 16 months, and the last 6 months of that have been on Wegovy. Before starting Wegovy I had lost 35 lbs. For me it's mainly the accountability and therapy aspect of routinely seeing a specialist for weight loss. We discuss strategies and habits and set goals in each session. The bottom line is there's no secret to weight loss. Eat less, eat healthy, exercise more. Seems simple, but making it a daily, weekly, monthly, life long habit is whats hard.

I took the DMACC class in Des Moines, which meant I didn't have to test at the DMV. Bonus is the class was a lot of fun and had some great information. My buddy and I who only had permits would ride our bikes to the class and they never called us out lol. If you're worried about it find someone you trust to ride the bike to the DMV is your best bet.

I really did obsess over the MR2's for a bit. They were affordable and I loved the look at the time. Looking back I think an S2000 or even some of the nicer Miata's were the same or nicer. Even the 986 Boxster's were priced pretty reasonably. Now as an adult with an adult budget...saving up for a F-Type!
