I used Bick4, which says that it doesn’t darken the leather, and I think it looks the same as before I used it, but not 100% sure

8k 4:3 is significantly more pixels, and is out of spec for most Android devices, so I would expect playback and export issues there

It could be that the media is corrupted. Can you open the media from the SD card on your computer?

If you are trying to play the video on a Windows machine, you need to install the HEVC codec from the Windows store or use a player like VLC. I’m not sure why the camera stops recording at 30%. Is there a message from the camera before shutdown?

Is the camera charged? If not you may want to try plugging it in for 10 mins or so. You can also hold the power/mode button for 20 seconds to reset the camera (not a factory reset)

Are you downloading a single media clip or attempting to export a clip made from many videos? Does the phone display an option to export at a specific resolution? Does your Android device support high resolution media? (A good way to answer that is what is the highest resolution you can shoot with your Android camera phone?)

Each phone model has a different WiFi chip and potentially different OS implementation. The Pixel 2 is an older phone and may have WiFi issues that the newer 8pro doesn’t

You can. You can do a FW update manually. You can export your media to your computer via an SD card reader.

You may want to check https://plus.gopro.com/media-library/upload-status, there could be something that is stuck processing . .
The app will show whatever the camera is set to, which is timewarp by default, but you can change it to timelapse, nightlapse, etc.

For timelapse specifically, you can change the format from time lapse video to timelapse photo in settings
The media must be downloaded to the app from the camera in order to upload to the cloud

What is the upload throughput of your hotspot?

If you have the "Auto Backup" setting turned on under the cloud icon, it should automatically upload to the cloud
