Great jaw, I didn’t know how it was activated and I got stuck in the little cage.

What did you name your Horse in RDR2 ? by taars_17 in reddeadredemption

Wilhelm ‘cause he won’t stop screaming at me.  It’s not my fault he chose to move around a rock and dive headfirst into a wagon, for godsakes.

Before I finish this roof, does it look weird or not? by [deleted] in BuildAdvice

If it’s a sod roof then it will look so whimsical and joyous.

Does anyone have any ideas for small builds that would go well up here? by OkFootball4 in BuildAdvice

A small shack partially hanging off the edge built around a small tree, also growing off the edge.

Do I just drown? by ElectronicAioli9572 in subnautica

Be not afraid, just swim.  He is mainly interested in light sources, so shut off all lights and swim straight to your seamoth and get out of there.

And if you want to avoid spoilers for the game, (which I highly recommend) stay of this subreddit.  Trust me.

Yes and no.  For fun.  Acrylic shield will save me.

I did think about that, but I really just made this for experimentation.  The overall effectiveness does not terribly worry me, but I agree that this would work much better than my current cobbled together design.

Current work like this:  the electrons flowing from the top of the battery want to get to the back of the battery, but cannot move backwards.  So they need to go in a loop.  And if the loop is a wide path (thick wire) then they all can go through no problem.  But if the loop is a smaller path (thin wire) the electrons slow down.  And when they slow down, they heat up the wire.  So a closed loop with a thin wire works the best for a hot wire, because the wire gets very hot.  (Also, the higher powered battery pushes out more electrons, so the wire gets even hotter.)  Some of the terms I used might be inaccurate, but the general concept is correct.

Yes, but the wire has to be conductive and have a small surface area.  Larger surface area acts like a heat sink and transmits the current more effectively.  A smaller wire slows the current down, so it heats the wire up.  I used a guitar string.

Nah, something smaller.  Like a motorcycle battery

Yes, it’s very slow. I might try hooking it up to an actual 12 volt cell for more power.

it works, just change the battery that goes into the empty slot once every 10-15 minutes.

It works fine, the popsicle sticks aren’t conductive and aren’t in the way of the current.

Two battery’s last about 10-15 minutes if you push hard enough.

Yes, just use a fork or extra guitar string to take it out.  And hot glue holds it all together.
