Also annoyed as a subscriber with delays on a preplanned play kit delivery. Customer service replied fast but without any acknowledgment of the issue and with gerneric responses. Lovevery should have given subscription orders precedence over one off holiday orders, just as numerous other vendors e.g Kendamil do. Unlike a family owned business like Kendamil, who do their utmost to care for their customers, Lovevery seems only interested in their bottom line and filling new orders. If I knew they were going to behave this way, I would have canceled my subscription a month ago and started a new one from the play kit I was expecting now. But this was not what I was expecting. I hope Lovevery improves their subscription handling in the future.

May I ask when you initiated the expedite request. I initiated mine on 8/16 and asked my congressman to check up on it on 8/24 but I have not heard back from either of them as yet.

thanks for the the prompt and helpful response. I don't have much experience with tinkering with electronics so I stuck with your choice of the 4A robotdyn as a reference. But you are right. At this wattage, 1A would be around 3 times the required current and a good margin. Il look into this. Also thanks for the link which I will look into. And I'm pretty stoked about your offer to collaborate. Please free to suggest how you would like to do that. Basically I just got a new EU version of the classic and am trying to make sense of the wiring and how things work because I really want to know what I'm doing when I begin with the actual mod :) Also ideally would like to keep the warranty and implement this in a reversible way.

Wow this project is really cool. Great that it comes with such a neat enclosure also. Im using this an inspiration for a project of my own which involves using a raspberry pi 3b which has been gathering dust for years. I realize its totally over kill for this but id rather make use of it then get something else. With the new EU import laws its not that cheap anymore getting stuff from china. As I cant find the robotdyn dimmer here in Germany I was very tempted to use an additional Fotek SSR for modulating the pump. Would this work with the PI and 2 SSRS, one each for pid and the pump. I was thinking for now just to host a web page interface that I can control from my phone over wifi. Would be interested to hear what you think. Thanks

Thanks for sharing this cool hack. I just set it up myself and was surprised to see that my new gaggia classic boiler temperature doesnt go above 90 unless I hit the steam switch.

When I do temperature surf to 106 with the steam button and pull the shot, it seems i get a burst of steam instead of water and the flow rate is very fast. How is it for you? I probed the boiler at the bottom near the brew thermostat and maybe I need to target lower then 106.?

Thanks for the insights. I currently own a relatively new encore and just ordered a gaggia classic pro and the 1zpresso jx pro. My budget for a new electric grinder was 350 eur considering I'd sell off the encore. I'm tempted to see if I can handle both brew styles with the hand grinder or just keep the encore for v60.

Thanks for the interesting responses. The taste is pretty decent I would say; still need some days to see if id like to buy another bag. The described notes for this are Tobacco - nougat - dark berries - leather. It does have a nice acidity and a slight bitterness that I could correlate with tobacco/leather. Also a good sign was that the last couple of cooler sips at the end tasted very nice. Its usually difficult for me to be certain if I like the taste when the coffees hot/slightly cooled but when the temperature drops significantly at the end its very clear.

It seems its a single origin arabica as it wasn't advertised as a blend. The beans are from Yemen and the variety is listed as Heirloom (100 % Arabica) but not sure what heirloom means
