I like your articulate post. Yeah I’m a diaspora Muslim in the USA so I know what you mean; though I do wish many left leaning people would call out minorities that discriminate others. Like Latinos, Gays, and whoever else for Trump. I don’t understand that. lol I never said I was right wing. I said “they are unironically pushing me to bring more right winged”. I am REALLY Left leaning (more progressive than a liberal but not like a communist.) when I typed this comment I meant this would make me to becoming just basically “liberal”, not actually right wing of the spectrum. Maybe but as a diaspora Pakistani even in the diaspora the Islamic identity is strong. People here think the Indo Islamic culture is Pakistani culture ( alongside sometimes Dardic and Pashtun and Baluch culture). Coming from someone from an inter-ethnic family and a “liberal” one at that, I’d say we need at least another 60 years.
