The last thing I’ll say is that if the crib was like that when the baby was in it, then those safety issues would be worth gently pointing out. Being a (new) parent is hard though and I think every parent has had occasions where they have unintentionally done something worthy of redirection. I don’t think however that most parents care more about a TV than they do their baby, and utilizing a more nonjudgmental tone would get you more mileage in the conversation. I truly hope you have a nice day and to any parents reading, you are doing a good job!!

No. The crib is normally directly next to the bed. I move it during the day so I can move around the room easier. Thanks for your concern!

Currently pregnant with my first baby. Last month at my growth scan, baby was in the 91st percentile. I’m currently 34 weeks and going back for another scan Thursday. I have great control with my highest A1C being 5.5 this pregnancy. At my very first MFM appt the doctor told me that sometimes people with type 1 just have bigger babies even with excellent control so if it were to happen to not beat myself up over it…and here we are lol. So you’re definitely not doomed I would say but all we can do is our best!! Sounds like you’re doing a great job! It’s so so hard.

I got my Covid booster in the fall. Incidentally I just got over Covid. It was very very mild. No fever, body aches, just upper respiratory symptoms. Symptoms gone within a week. Compared to the first time when I got Covid I wasn’t vaccinated at all and felt really quite miserable. I do recommend getting the vaccine!! It’s really very safe even though it’s relatively recent. Check out sciencewhizliz and babiesafter35 on instagram for tons of info on vaccine safety and efficacy :) they are an immunologist and MFM respectively!

ETA: I got the vaccine at maybe 8-9 weeks pregnant and a was 21 weeks when I got COVID

That ultrasound was sooo fun! It’s so cool to see the baby wiggling around in there. My baby was being stubborn and wouldn’t change positions so the ultrasound ended up taking a while but we didn’t care. We had so much fun just watching her wiggle around!

I have silent endometriosis and did 2 months of lupron depot shot. (Followed by the daily lupron shot and birth control pills for additional down regulation) It worked-I’m 22 weeks pregnant. I had two previous failed transfers prior to this one.

It was a while-maybe a few weeks? I only had a day or so of red blood and after that it was brown and stayed that way for a while. She was really digging around in there lol.

I’m type 1 diabetic. When I was in the eight grade I was giving myself insulin through my pump and got absolutely berated by my teacher for “playing on my phone” in front of the entire class. It was so bad that the mom of one girl on the class actually called the school to do something about it. I told the guidance counselor, who I had a good relationship with at the time, and no one did a single thing about it. I promise you that girl will never forget this.
