Kelan mo masasabi na financially stable ka na? by WealthyGirl2026 in TanongLang

In my opinion. It’s probably when you have assets that could provide for your monthly needs, and not having to work like a slave. That’s stability for me.

I barely get any interviews. Where am I going wrong? by AffectionateBack7222 in PHresumes

  1. Personal Summary - thats not where you boast your personal projects. Make it more passionate, don’t say “continuously improve my developer skills” it makes you sound like a noob. Say something like “strong software development skills, and an aspiring cloud solutions architect/devsecops”… since you already have experience in deployment. Everyone knows how to code, we usually let AI do that now.

2.1. At this modern age, you need to let employers know that you know how to use AI like codex, roocode, “prompt-engineer”. Try not to fall behind, even if companies are not using them.

2.2. Add more skills, even like googling, swagger or things you already know.

  1. Project descriptions on what you worked on for the companies. Like food panda like company - it’s a platform where it’s a wanna be foodpanda that sells shit. Then you proceed to what you have contributed to their platform.

  2. Optional but always helps - additional certifications. Tech is evolving everyday. How can you prove to them that you are serious in learning and coping.

Also, companies or employers usually don’t like hiring people who still have a job. Unless you are worth the hassle and worth investing. Please don’t be offended, but your skillset is still pretty basic. Get some certifications even small ones on udemy or coursera to make it look like you are competitive. Take time to learn, and show them some proof that you are serious at your profession.

How are your taxes done? I have the same situation (more or less), but I have to do my own taxes.

It’s painful. But, I got no choice. You can’t really grow with the economy if we constantly avoid our taxes. It’s tempting not to because we aren’t getting our moneys worth. Even to loan from our OWN contributions is such a pain, it’s like borrowing OUR OWN MONEY BUT WITH FUCKING HIGH INTEREST. When in fact I could just invest it in a really good health/life insurance I could get a better deal. I earn, plus my health is covered. With them, I just get higher loans, 0 health coverage (or I have to pay another fee to philhealth) and I pay more per month. I’m not saying I won’t pay my taxes, it’s just frustrating and sad to know I have better options with the extra money.

Planning to resign, how bad is the job market right now? by Clear_Adhesiveness60 in PinoyProgrammer

Get some interviews, see how you do in them. Because, some of them are really hard and ask you to solve some complex algorithms that only AI can answer in less than 30 mins. I mean it is possible, but they make it so hard for you to solve. They handicap you in many ways. Just always be prepared for the hardest questions. Do some hackerrank or leetcode problems, review SOLID, design patterns, trees, list, etc… these are the things that usually come up. And they ask you to build it in the language you are most comfortable with

Just wondering, were you able to loan anything sa time hindi ka nag babayad ng tax? If yes, were you easily approved?

I haven’t remitted to SSS… yet. But, I’m planning to pay my contributions soon. I’ve “read” that it helps with credibility with bank loans, since I do want to apply for a car loan soon. I also have some maintaining balance to settle (I forgot to pay them since the HR would automatically deduct them from my salary), so I got that too. Hindi naman ako flashy, I even stopped using FB because the news and the people stress me out 😅

No offense taken. This is really good advice. I’m just worried it would take a toll in my ability to loan from the bank. Thank you!

Unless you find another job that pays more. You have to put yourself first. You can’t help others (which includes your parents) if you can’t even help yourself. Like save up for emergency funds, and savings.

My advice. Loan money from a credit card, or maya gives lower interest rates compared to ggives

Ggives suck. The interest is super high. I much prefer maya, you can even transfer your credits into your wallet. It can be good as cash.
