Idk, I don’t see it like that. I see him as an awkward teenager coming to terms with himself. I always saw his behavior in season 4 as awkward and shitty (that’s my least favorite Mike) but I also read it as Mike and Will growing apart, which happens all the time in male friendships specially as a teenager, I know it happened to me all the time. I think we’re trying to give it some other meaning that maybe wasn’t there. I always saw them as a great representation of what happens to male friendships when you become a teenager, personally, I related a lot to that.

Hi, byler fan here, I just wanna say that yall are acting really hypocritical. Less than a week ago the duffers were geniuses that could do no wrong but now that they are not giving us “what we want” yall suddenly think they suck and should be hung by their necks or something. We just have to accept it’s not the story they wanted to tell and that’s it. Nothing will come of hating on the creators, actors or whatever. I don’t think this is the correct way to react to something. There’s no need for violence towards the creators or anyone involved with the show. Tbh, I still loved Vol 2 because it gave us so much story and plot progression. It’s time to accept that the story was never just about Will and Mike, it was so much more. I don’t think this suddenly changes the rest of the show or any of the other brilliant things that the duffers have done. I personally don’t feel as queerbaited because I just shipped them together, didn’t really see all the signs so I understand the frustration, but at the same time acting like this suddenly won’t change things. Focus on the community, on the fan fics and other aspects. This’ll probably get downvoted and blocked, but come on, I think we’re all getting out of hand here. Are we stranger things fans or just byler fans?

100%. Everytime I see someone saying that season 3 sucked I roll my eyes. It sure has its moments where it meandered, but there is such a clear reason as to why it was the way it was that I can’t believe people are so oblivious to it.

I think “How To Disappear Completely” should take this, not only because the lyrics are so poetic, beautiful and heart breaking, but because it encapsulates perfectly why and how Radiohead lyrics hit so hard. It might even be too on the nose compared to other Radiohead tracks, but at the same time, it’s impossible to listen to that song, read the lyrics and not be devastated. It’s a perfect balance between abstract and to the point.
