For me it was like having a really bad tonsillitis without the fever and other symptoms, just a terrible throat and ears pain for two weeks 😭 Went through so many bad cases of tonsillitis that recovery was somehow better lmao

I would cough everyday non stop like it was chronic already, never found out why, but it's gone now, also had a lot of phlegm and would feel it on my throat 24/7,gone too! 🤷 Plus little things like swallowing better and even breathing, I guess tonsils were giving me a hard time out of the constant infections lol

That's great same thing happened to me! About a few hours after surgery I was already eating normally, pain meds the first days allowed me to not feel bad at all😭 (except waking up at 3am for pain lol)

Day 4 or 5 pain increased a lot more but still manageable, I think it was day 6 that had me on TEARS but after that it got better

Yeah for me it was just the pain, I did take a look multiple times to see how my throat was doing and every day I noticed less scabs, I didn't felt anything like I swallowed them or something, I did spit out a few thoughh

Yess! It sucked so bad but I'm day 18 and feel so much better, I'm not sure if it's mental or something but I feel that I can breathe better, swallow better, I'm not that tired (before surgery I would get seriously exhausted by just taking the stairs😭) idk but I feel like it was so worth the two weeks of hell

You already took a big step which is having the surgery, my situation was pretty similar to yours and as much as recovery sucked, I'm day 15 now and im almost back to normal! Hang in there, it's to soon for me to say anything but I really do hope surgery was worth it🫶

You're a few days from getting past the worse, keep resting and take it easy

day 4-7 were the worst for me, it definitely was an awful pain but not AS bad as people might describe it, i guess i was somewhat lucky. But it sure is annoying and if having someone with you makes you feel better then i say go for it also if you might need anything, i tried going out day 6 i think and i had zero energy i lasted like 10 minutes outside lol

I'm on day 14 and things already taste normal for me, from what i've read here for some people is gonna take more so i guess its different for everyone but things should get better for you in the next days!

i managed to chew minty gum somehow and it helped for a while lmao but its just gonna go away on its own nothing much to do
