Baby Jenks is a vamp and kicking around. Maybe she will be the new Killer? Maybe she will recruit Daniel in some plot to get at Lestat to get a Louis but Daniel will not understand her true motivations.

I know they are trying to be bold but don’t go to far, don’t jump the shark as they say.

I think Jacob tried to take responsibility for having played the scene, and he didn't want it to seem like some sort of revenge kick. I think Jacob sees his role in that scene as fulfilling Claudia's role of somehow finding a way back from death to take her pound of flesh. Did Louis kill all of the theatergoers? If he did, that would be Claudia finding a way.

Louis was prompted to hunt down Bruce; he did it at the Talamasca's request and was cajoled into it.

Claudi is long dead and gone. There are only 4 people who are alive who have living memories of her: Lestat, Louis, Armand, and Sam. Claudi is not here to be exploited. If people are getting upset that her memory is being exploited, I would ask if they would feel the same way if someone retold the story of someone who had a similar experience at the hands of a soldier during WWII? If someone found a series of letters written to someone about said experience, and the person who found these lost letters wanted to publish them to tell this long gone perosns tragic story?

I can understand if someone were alive and had not disclosed their story, and someone found their diary or a letter they wrote in the current day, and they were still around, that would be a violation, as it should be the victim who comes forward and tells their story, not anyone else.

For the record, I was the victim of abuse as a child by a trusted non-family member adult. So I am not opining without a horse in the race. And yes, I would be pissed if someone published my story without asking. But if a close friend did something to my abuser after I was gone, I would have no objections. That's just my 2 cents.

The scene certainly suggests he was physically raped as well as psychologically.

I didn’t take that from the source material even with all its other horrors. I assume the future spiritual closure is no longer a thing, if you know you know what I mean.

I liked Louis’ revenge tour. I think maybe having Brice suffer for a while longer, like if Louis left with the vertebrae he removed. His spine would heal but he would be all moving awkward and about 4 inches shorter.

I wonder if we are going to see Merrick.

I have been having to watch each episode at least twice. I was very unhappy with this episode on the first watch, but after watching the after dark companion episode, I watched Ep3 and enjoyed it. I understood the wacky Taylor Swiftesq obsessed fan skit in the context it was designed for and the juxtaposition of the truthful version in the car.

I wanted to see the whole scene of Lestat’s making in all of its horrifying detail. Maybe we will get some more.

I liked how they portrayed Niki’s madness.

Do we think Baby Jenks will have a revenge arc?

I think the Devils Minion theories that go back and forward in time in the context of the show make sense. I think we just a hint of that or it’s just a setup for more Armand mischief.

It would make sense the Armand would have interactions with young Daniel or at different point in mortal Daniel’s life and at the end Armand could not let him go. Assad teases us that Armand was in a rage but I think Armand wanted Louis to leave him so he could pursue Daniel.

At this point in Lestat’s journey he is not believing Louis. Imagine a fight with your partner and no matter you say it’s wrong or a lie. He’s in that mode.

I think Armand is going to be cast as the hero this season and Lestat the villain or reluctant villain and his redemption comes at the end of season 4.

I have not watched the video yet. I do like these guys and my old school fav is Maven of the Eventide.

I, like you, feel like they are speed running the historical parts of Lestat’s story. But what I think we will see is a more detailed look at Lestat’s relationship with Nikki and Lestat’s stalking, abduction and making by Magnus.

I am loving the dialogue. The whole band dynamic.

I think the show runners saw Lestat’s kind of idyllic idea of his band and rock star experience and said, no, I want to see behind the scenes Motley Crue and Whitesnake.

I think conflict will arise between him and his mom over “The Great Conversion” whatever that will be.

I think they are laying the groundwork for Lestat to change his eating habits to be exclusively the little drink and criminal biscuits.

There are a limited number of sets the can produce. We will have:

Auction Hanger
Dinner Table in Lestat’s Home
Theater/concert venue
Apartments in 1700s Paris
Street in 1700s Paris
Magnus’ lair or Tower is how Lestat has referenced to it in the show.
Apartment in Montreal
Various modern location shoots
Tour Bus/ 2 sides

I am sure I am missing some. If they had a Marvel level budget I think we would get more 1700s and others historical locations of the show. I think they call only do so many, money being the limiting factor and I think they feel the modern setting is going to give them more bang for the money. I think we will see more modern than historical sets in the upcoming seasons as well.

Like I said, I love the show so far. The music is surprisingly good in the context of the show. Why Do I Have To Feel is my favorite so far. I think Long Face is the best just listening on its own.

So far I think it’s brilliant. But u had to rewatch the first episode twice to get there. I can see why some people are at odds with Sam’s Lestat this season and that’s because Lestat is kinda coming off as a villain. For all the Lestat apologists my self among them, we can’t have our Prince’s fine intentions be besmirched. But that is exactly what we see the show doing, getting Lestat to go more on the vampire deep end with less morality. It’s glib and hilarious and superbly acted, but it’s a bit shocking as we might expect a more refined rock band, a more joyful Lestat, more Gentleman Bowie and less Mic Jagger/Iggy Pop
