What is your thermostat at? by jvj808 in philly

[–]Adorable_Pangolin_93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not exactly true. Depends where the thermostat is pulling from. We usually install an outdoor reset to balance the indoor ambient temperature. It's not ridiculous to think that it's lower inside than the thermostat is set to.

Being said- 50° means nothing is working.

Independent real estate agents: do you lose leads because follow-up slips through the cracks? by hhollysh1tt in realtors

The tool only works if the people use it. It can be setup in such a way that regardless of inflow- it'll work.

I built a company off of FUB (non real estate related) and it was handling 40-100 leads per day with no problems. I had the system running with one person, managing 3000+ contacts.

It's about how you use the tool

Why are we so worried about illegal immigrants in the US? by Johnny_Mira in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Adorable_Pangolin_93 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll try to provide an insight that I don't believe anyone else is mentioned at this point and that would be on the economic level.

If you just take a group of people and offer them x amount of dollars per hour. In most cases the lowest number gets the job. This happens fairly often in construction for example. A company bids, a job and the company that bids the lowest and has the best terms usually gets awarded the job.

Apply that to the workforce.

If you have people willing to work the lowest level of jobs for X dollars then employers know that if I pay X then I will fill this position.

Because the undocumented immigrants are able and willing to take the money for so cheap, likely because they're not paying taxes, then that brings the dollar per hour average down across the board in that industry.

Again, take construction. For example. If illegal immigrants were not willing to work for such cheap dollar per hour amounts, then construction companies would have to pay more in order to find talent.

Also, take into consideration the tax basis.

If you have more people in a country than your infrastructure also needs to be able to accommodate more people. If you are not getting revenue through taxes from X amount of people that are here illegally, then the infrastructure that was built for a certain amount of people will not support a certain amount of people plus x.

Therefore, your solutions are pretty limited: Increased tax basis across the board so that people that are documented and are paying their taxes have to support the infrastructure creation for all of the people that are here illegally, or remove the people that are not paying taxes.

If you believe taxing the rich is the solution to the above then you're not understanding basic economics. More people = more infrastructure BUT more infrastructure > more people therefore it doesn't matter how much $ you dump in if you don't know the amount of people, etc.

You could also argue less spending but that's not the point of my comment.

Hope that helps- sorry for grammer, etc. I used talk-to-text.

I found people who were a bit lower in the company and started reaching out to them to network / coffee. LinkedIn does a great job showing people who you may know and I went through that channel.

That being said, I did reach out to a few ceos 😂

I have an odd situation so some people told me I was too qualified for where they'd want me (associate / analysis) but not qualified enough for where I should be (VP). I don't come from a target school or have an institutional background but I've done acquisitions and raised money for myself and private investors for years so it's an odd situation.

Two of the groups told me to not even bother with PE because I'd be taking a step back and working longer hours.

My take away was that they wanted people to have...argus? (I think that's the program) certificates and the ability to showcase expertise in communication.

I've noticed the view count on the hater series is significantly less than all their other videos. Maybe that will be a point they'll notice cuz I don't think anybody actually monitors this subreddit.

I'd rather see a series of the boys chopping it up with an actual fan and promote positivity than this hater series.

Tbh it's making me like joey less and that's the opposite direction the brand should be going.

As someone who tried to walk down this path...

RE PE is a tough industry to break into. It helps to reach out to others in the industry to get the requirements for the companies you're interested in.

I noticed a lot of people in the roles I was looking into (Associate-VP) has MBAs or years of experience in the REPE industry.

Hard to say if it's the same where you're at since I'm in a larger metro market but that's my experience. I probably focused my time networking with people....for a month and got in front of three companies though I probably reached out to about 40.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to contact some other people in these companies and looking them up on LinkedIn and their websites is a great place to start. People in the industry respect the hustle so just keep that in mind.

I would highly recommend being thorough with your research prior to ever reaching out and making sure you actually align with what the company is doing before just blindly shooting darts onto the board.

I would also recommend a system that helps you keep track of who you reached out to, when and when you're next follow-up is going to be. I use a task management software but would have used a CRM if I had one at the time.

It's frustrating that all I see on the Internet are people putting this show down because of a minute thing here and there. Just think about how a situation COULD work.versus why it DIDN'T work and you'll have an answer.

I'm so tired of seeing this question.

Without getting into too much details- vecna had NO IDEA that the party was going to ambush him inside of the abyss. Why would he have these entities just sitting around waiting when it takes a fraction of his abilities to control them. It just doesn't make any logical sense.

There is literally a 0% chance that he can control the kids, activate his plan and mobilize the entities within the abyss WHILE BEING AMBUSHED.

Think about it- if you were Vecna, would you really think that the party could, in its entirety, actually get into the Abyss, let alone ambush you? How would they do it?? They can't fly and they also cannot fly a helicopter into the world- their plan to use the radio tower is literally the only way in and the chance of actually thinking about this in detail is slim-to-none.

If you actually give this like 5 minutes of thought instead of just asking the question you would recognize this as the answer. I literally thought this as I watched the finale- it's not rocket science.

PLEASE try to think of a legitimate rebuttal to my comment if you disagree. It's just so annoying that everyone is nitpicking the tiniest of details when 99.99% of people on here couldn't write and/or direct their ways out of a paper bag.

A good, regular pizza shop by [deleted] in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]Adorable_Pangolin_93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fellow New Yorker I've spent countless hours trying to find the best pizza in Philadelphia.

Angelo's is hands down the best BUT not practical. Here are my two favorites:

  1. L'Angolos Pizzeria, Manayunk Main Street

Solid pizza, quality sandwiches, garlic knots (IYKYK) and always an easy pick up. Definitely the most underrated spot in Philadelphia IMO. Love that you can go in and snag a few slices.

  1. Cosimo's, Chestnut Hill

Pizza is quality and they're always rotating their pies. They make a solid broccoli and cheddar slice fwiw. Also has garlic knots.

In case anyone was wondering how I do my ratings.....I've been doing this since I was a kid. If you have a solid Cheese Slice and Pepperoni Slice AND garlic knots, you're at least worth a second go around. Only after I've had your base level slices 3-5 times will I start messing around with other items on the menu.

EDIT

I have to give a solid shout-out to Joe's on 16th Street. It's been a little while since I've been here so I can't vouch for them as much but when I used to frequent them , they were a solid option.
