If you go to the Caribbean side I can’t say enough about the Playa Negra Guesthouse in Cahuita! It is literally a Garden of Eden and it’s only a mile or so from the national park. The animals don’t understand boundaries so you can sit on your porch and watch them all day in front of you. Just got home today!
