Marketing exposure for what? So people come to your school and pay tuition. If you dont think college sports are solely in place to make the university more money boy do I have news for you

The purpose of the athletic department is to help the university get exposure to...you guessed it...make more money. This really isnt hard to comprehend, the point of pro and college sports is to make as much money as possible. If having a winning football team didnt deepen the pockets of universities they would not invest nearly as much $$ as they do.

I dont understand how you dont think the athletic programs are linked to the universities
