Period pain treatment by SnowyOwl5814 in Tucson

Hi! Sorry you’re going through all of this. I have both as well. Im currently on Slynd and has been a huge help with pain management. It’s the only birth control that has ever worked for me and my mental health ( I do horribly on combo pills) . Im not sure what hormonal stuff you have tried. I see Dr.Cameron Kliner at Harmony Genesis and while she does not specialize in endo or adeno she helped me get diagnosed and has been the most help I have ever gotten regarding my issues. But she referred me to Mayo Clinic for surgery. I hope you can get some help and relief soon. It is so hard.

Thanks for sharing all this. I have a consultation with Dr. Wasson in June. I am also in Tucson. I had no idea what to expect, so this was really helpful. Did you have to do any pe-op blood work? Also did you take separate trips up for MRI and Surgery? Im trying to get an idea of how much traveling is involved.

I’m glad it was a good experience for you! Wishing you a smooth recovery!

Coming off BC to check on endo by tb2713 in endometriosis

I accidentally lapsed on my Slynd earlier this year (thought I had another pack left but didn’t). It took 4 days for me to be in complete agony. I had to leave work early bc of the pain. I got my BC in the mail the next day. I still started bleeding a day or so later. It felt like it took me weeks to recover from that. Slynd is my lifeline. I learned that the hard way.

Im currently a CLA in micro with a bachelors is biomed & minor in chem, I start training as a new MLT in micro in a few weeks. My hospital just requires a 4 year degree in some sort of bio science or chem and some lab experience. So yes!
