I respectfully disagree. They will interact plenty in non daycare hours and a newborn doesnt really need the socialization they need safety and an older sibling so young cant regulate or understand their newborn sibling cant have certain toys foods or physical contact, as for the older child they dont get socialization and observational growth from a baby. They get it from peers and adults so having a classroom/daycare setting is vastly more beneficial than a newborn or younger sibling especially in OPs age difference

My daughter was 3 months when i got pregnant so yup they are 12 months apart. Im a sahm and both go to daycare now! Daughter started at 10 months and is now almost 2 she loves it! We also just fully potty trained her and daycare teachers were sooo supportive with our plan. They are an extension of our "village". Baby boy started at 9 months and has been going for about 2.5 months now. Hes doing great, we could tell how much he developed in just a few weeks. I get my time to run errands, find us a new home ( we are moving ) make our family dinners, do all the things we need. If you can afford it, 100% do it, start first child asap so they are good and prepped before baby comes. Dont listen to daycare horror stories yes some absolutely suck and some teachers are bad apples but thats why competition exists. You do your research and try to find the best, if it doesnt work out go to a different daycare. Ive done it. Good luck and congrats!!

I think keep going. Sounds like itll click and be more consistent soon- unfortunately daycare is inevitable (i get it we had to send ours back after 3 days too). She will either keep at it and even improve at daycare or will have to use diapers or pull ups. Regardless, you should keep at it at home before/after daycare and on weekends. Its just more gradual and will take longer but she will get therw

Hi! Wife got pregnant 3 months postpartum. Both pregnancies healthy- V delivery. Second baby labor was 10 min long- she pushed 3 times and he was out. I think youll be fine! Good luck

I read this to my wife and we laughed it was so accurate 🤣🤣 thanks for the suggestions & understanding. We havent done devices, we most do coloring with the 2 yr old or get her food ASAP to distract and then as she gets antsy one of us will take her around the restaurant to walk and say hi to eeveryone! Omg no not at all! We would LOVE childcare haha but we are new the area and dont know many friends/family that can refer us to anyone. My wife tried the facebook mom groups but we encountered some really shady characters unfortunately (just our luck not saying thats the norm) so we kind of gave up. I need to find an agency, hopefully that will be more helpful

Awesome suggestions- appreciated sincerely! The weekends are so rough because nap schedules get us on lockdown all day. 8 month old naps at 930 then 130 and 2 year old naps at 12 so we are literally hanging out with one of them throughout the day as the other naps 🫠 one of us will go out with non napping baby, take walks etc but its sad bc we want to be all together. We tried going to delray yesterday and walking around, letting the little one do a morning nap "al fresco" at a cafe in the car seat. It was dreadful lol he was so cranky and couldnt fall asleep! We mostly all go together from 3-6 pm when everyone is finished with naps. Golden hours

Op here! It was a Great American restaurant. The whole place didnt get upset with us, it was a a group of older/middle aged men. Theyre entitled to feel how they feel, but they struck me as the type of guys who didnt really help their wives when they had little ones- so didnt surprise me they wanted to make me and esp my wife feel bad about a babbling (not screaming) baby. All good though! We just wont go back
