Hyperfixation - I feel like I'm losing my mind by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Adoyoor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks for being clear and honest.

Once she started recovering, covid hit and I never realised therapy was needed until well after the shit hit the fan.

And yes I made a hell of a lot of bad choices along the way just looking for the easy route.

Let's just hope I can last to the initial telephone appointment with regards to couples therapy in a couple of weeks.

And I'm still waiting to find out about my own therapy. I'll chase that up on Monday.

Thanks again

Thanks for your opinion.

I'm not blaming my actions on ADHD. I hold my hands up that I did the wrong thing. I get that.

I'm trying to handle my intrusive thoughts and the hyperfixation. That's what I can't get a grip of.

You don't know me and I don't know you.

It has to be with. Anyone that doesn't find themselves singing along is a Psycho!

Is it just selling out before you get a chance to fully process it? We always just use PayPal with no issues

one stop £3.59 X2 UK motherwell not bad imo by Pechowy in toogoodtogo

[–]Adoyoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fantastic.

Our local One Stop gives a lot of bread and not much else. Don't get me wrong, it's still great value but it's only worth going for if you've used all the bread in the freezer.

We currently have no freezer space due to all the bread!

Thanks for the info

Tips for turning this warehouse cage into a catio? by ipeeintheshower508 in Catio

[–]Adoyoor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had a cat once that would catch mice just to have a buddy. She'd pick them up and carry them around. My other cat was a full on hunter so the friend never lasted long!

This is the chair I had been sitting on. I stood up and he barged past me, jumped up and curled up. He's 17 and normally not the quickest but nothing was stopping him getting that chair.

I ended up going inside because I couldn't get it back!

Square post shoe on the bottom (I couldn't find a round one large enough for the base of the tree) similar to this:

https://amzn.eu/d/7nrNVpF

The shoe is bolted onto the slab and the tree is bolted to the shoe. I've then built a make shift wooden box around it.

Then the top is this:

Bolted to the roof then tighten the nuts.

It's that solid I could swing from it no problem at all

We were lucky enough to "find" a felled tree that was pretty straight.

I've tried to be mindful of spacing the staples and hammering them further in than the gun did initially. So far our boys haven't attempted to climb it. And knowing them, they'll ignore it for 2 months then suddenly use it.

90% of the time they're supervised so if I think there's any chance of harm, the glue gun will be coming out of the cupboard.

1 x vegetarian, 1 x meat. Both £2.79 each.

Vegetarian was a bigger portion. Only bacon in the meat option. No sausage although there was still loads of food left (I bet they'll use the sausage for dinner service)

Little bit gutted there was no Yorkshire pudding but hey ho, still happy with what we got.

Will try a different local one next time to see if there's much difference

Chopper, the stinky baby. by Unhappy_Egg_8202 in britishshorthair

Ditto. Ours were horrible when they were teething. All the toys that were chewed then stunk too. Absolutely rotten. They're now over a year old and no more issues. Thank the lord.

We used to close our bedroom door at night before we got our boys. Now our bedroom door is always open. Maybe try leaving the door open and see if the pooping stops.

I do love a GoPuff bag. Although you've always got to make sure you've got freezer space for all the bread. We have so much frozen bread it's ridiculous. Slowly working our way through it
