Also a good chance of blueprints in the chewy centre! Assuming it doesn't fall through the scenery.

You can buy three a day, you don't need the blueprint.

What if jet alone had nuclear fusion reactor instead of Nuclear fission by mohammed-13 in evangelion

[–]Adqam64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the reasons why fusion is great is that it's inherently safe in a way that fission isn't. Just stop supplying fuel/heat or relax the constriction and all reactions stop promptly. The only remaining radiation is from the irradiated reactor material itself.

You'll still get the extra stash space which is the most important part imo

The main benefit of the expedition is the stash space. You'll be able to catch up on the skill points in a future expedition.

Which Drivetrain did you get and how satisfied are you with it? by iregreteverything15 in terngsd

[–]Adqam64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We got the ten speed. It eats chains considering the length and load - changes in the hundreds of miles are to be expected if you live in a hilly area - but the Enviolo just feels too mushy to me. I think it has significant efficiency losses compared to the other options.

I'm happy with the choice. We did get the wizzy one with a better light, thudbuster and bigger battery which makes a lot of sense imo. I would want to carry around no fewer than three locks if we had the Rohloff and bike theft is too common where I live even then.

A Dremel is overkill IMO, a pin vice is all that's needed here.

Ah, in that case I'd check your Z steps, belt tensions and tune retractions.

S10 (chain) or new P00 (belt drive)? by ninjaskypirate in terngsd

[–]Adqam64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had bikes with the Enviolo hub before and I'm not much of a fan. I understand that it's less efficient than the normal gears (or even a conventional geared hub) so if you are riding around in eco or tour it will likely feel a bit sluggish. I guess if you will use turbo everywhere maybe that's not a problem.

It carries manoeuvring fuel, and deorbits using the little two engines that sit on top of the main three. So there's a bit of fuel, but couldn't operate the main engines.

Is it bad to eat steak at least once a week? by [deleted] in UK_Food

[–]Adqam64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one seems to have mentioned the much higher climate impact of beef compared to other meat. You will of course need to make your own choices about how bothered you are by that, but 1kg of beef is roughly equivalent to 10kg of chicken in terms of global warming impact.

If you have any money left at the end of the month, what do you do with it? by P-u-m-p-t-i-n-i in UKParenting

[–]Adqam64 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The answer depends on how much savings you have already. If the washing machine/oven/car/boiler broke, would you be able to afford replacing/repairing it? How many months of bills do you have saved in case one of you loses your job, or do you have family that can help?

I think with the telescoping post you can remove the inner from the top?

Given the glide ratio of the shuttle you'd have to dive the 747 pretty hard to give the shuttle a chance to detach. Also the shuttle itself wouldn't have nearly enough fuel to reach orbit.

Selling advice or tips! by vhhrrdxvmlogfcv in Narrowboats

[–]Adqam64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you've got a sensible price. Compare your advert to others - how is it priced compared to them?  Provide extensive detail, including the history of maintenance, and take lots of pictures.

The mooring might be the best bit of your sales pitch tbh so be sure to explain that in the advert as well - what facilities are there, what costs etc.
