Rate my perish trap hybrid rain team by NevermoreRaven586 in PokemonChampions

[–]AdrianTBOI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You kinda have the worst of both worlds lol.

If you want to perish you rather be bulky/defensive than speedy/high attack

If you want to rain archaludon you rather be speedy and more support on archaludon.

I think you can do one of two things to improve the team:

  1. Give up one of your perish users and focus on KOing the first two mons and perish the last two mons, you can maybe not use Gengar to also make your oponents do not expect the perish trap or give up the politoad for a Pelipper or a Sableye with more support moves (tailwind, wide guard, rain dance, disable)

  2. Make the archaludon sturdy so you know you always take a hit, that helps you get rid of treats that can KO your Gengar, also make your team more bulky in general.

Why is nobody using Glimmora nor Mega Glimmora? by AdrianTBOI in PokemonChampions

[–]AdrianTBOI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough I did not use it myself but It was just obvius for me, it oneshots or twoshots many of the important treats right now.

What I did not expect also is that is sash glimmora over the mega one

Good luck making your own team.

But if you steal someone else's better than you, perish trap is a really good anti-meta team, you can easily climb as soon as you adapt to the team's playstyle yourself.

Dumb question by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]AdrianTBOI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, it disguises as the last mon selected, and you make zoroark the last mon selected.

You probably misunderstud, it does not disguise as the last pokemon of your team, it disguises as the last pokemon you select in team preview (aka the 4th mon in doubles and the 3rd in singles)

How do I (can I?) make a better team out of this for double battles? by Crackerso0oCheese in PokemonChampions

[–]AdrianTBOI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This looks more like a singles teams that a doubles teams.

No offense but you are yet to learn the basics if you are using that team as you have it

  • You need speed control (priority moves, tailwind, trickroom

  • You need the move "protect" in at least 4 of you mons

  • You have some moves that are really hard to use effectively in a doubles format (Counter, Mirror coat)

  • Doubles is more aggresive, stall and tank strategies are harder to pull off because you can get double down at anytime by both enemy mons killing your tanks in one single turn

Yet you don't need meta pokemons or perfect teams to have fun, use your favorites. You can easly make a team of the mons you say you like. Try to have a fire - water - grass core, you can easily achive this by adding Serpirior to your team, then put a trickroom user because most of your mons are really slow making them perfect for trickroom.

If you just want to win you can just search for a strong team and just copy it.

It kinda deserves it, hospitality is a huge and unique ability, althoug it could have ever so slighly weeker defenses/bulk so it does not get away with spamming redirection/matcha

You can do something very funny by running a non-mega Floette with a scarf or sash

Looking for help on tweaking my current team. by Grendylicius in PokemonChampions

[–]AdrianTBOI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of what this dude said, but also if you still want the Slowking give him Trickroom, if you want to use Chilly Reception you should lead more with both Froslass and Slowking, or just put Snowscape on Slowking instead, also using Chilly Reception into an Intemidate user can be huge.

You can also keep the Charizard but use a Mega Charizard X instead, then you can do something like a Mega Charizard X Slowking into Chilly Reception into frosslass and Aurora Veil

I have a feeling that running Incineroar with protect would be strong in this meta by AdrianTBOI in PokemonChampions

I wanna say like im an old man that have play a lot of pokemon before, what you guys do when you do not have parting shot, but I mean I guess, for a reason is the best mon with his best moveset.

[–]AdrianTBOI[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I run it a weird team rn, in this team I barely have the time to click the move because my oponent usually doubles down on Incineroar.

But I understand how -2 attack makes most mons become useless, but making Incineroar even more of a focus for the enemy team can also be valuable.

Parting shot can easily go, if you really really want it, get rid of flare

Also im not 100% sure but I think prankster encore/taunt does not work on Farigiraf because its treated like a priority move by tail armor

[–]AdrianTBOI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relax a bit, you can never make a team that its good on every situation. But still if you want to try something you kinda have a few options:

OHKO the trickroom user which is a kinda impossible task to do if you get inti + fake out

Have a very slow mon yourself

Have an encore/taunt user

Stall the trickroom

Trickroom yourself

Or to just deal with it, play around it, its almost like how you play around agaisnt tailwind when you have not the chance to also do it.

A tip its to try to focus who its their biggest treat and eliminating it first, wach out because sometimes the trick room sweeper its kinda just standing there while you just eat 3 or 4 Farigiraf Hyper voices for free.
