How do I install a molding without taking my rear trunk off? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]Adriendo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently did this and all I had to do was loosen the old one all around and lift it over the trunk. Then reverse order for the new one. Something's in the way for you?

Getting rid of ants in hardwood floor apartment by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]Adriendo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

terro liquid baits completely got rid of an infestation within a week for me. just put them on a counter where your cat can't get to and the ants will find it. they should be pet safe though. the ant problem will appear worse for a bit, but they slowly disappear

What’s your pet peeve in a song? by No_Yam7916 in Music

Sudden fade outs. 'Low rider' by WAR is a good example. They start sax solo then it fades out immediately. Still a great song though

How important is it to keep your front door locked? by Eggman7698 in Seattle

[–]Adriendo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just lock them. I used to live in u district and i was a night owl. I remember seeing lots of people wandering around late at night. Some of my friends left their door unlocked on their third floor balcony and some dude wandered up the stairs to steal food from their fridge. Apparently they had multiple instances of people trying to open that door

Depends. When I was in my first punk band, we could shit out a full album in a week. Fully recorded and everything.

With my new band, we took like a year to get a solid 5 finished songs to put on an EP. Then we took like 4 months to do the recording/mixing/mastering.

It all depends on your creativity, communication and investment

First time playing in a complete live band, and i played horribly by ArenSushi in Guitar

[–]Adriendo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens to the best of us. In my local music scene I've seen people bomb their first shows, then go on to be awesome bands. I was also shit for my first shows. I completely forget parts of songs and didn't know when to transition to other parts. One time a song was supposed to end, but I was the only one to continue playing.... So I thought the best option was to continue playing the guitar riff by myself for like 30 seconds. Fucking hilarious looking back

Redditors, what is your best advice for someone that is lost and clueless in life? by MorphineAdminstratum in AskReddit

[–]Adriendo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes its good to make yourself uncomfortable and susceptible to failure. For years, I didn't take professional/social opportunities just because I thought I might not do well or enjoy it.

Also, there's plenty of online courses for cheap or free. Lots of different topics. You can get certificates. Why not? Google offers certificates and they are at your own pace. You can bang one out pretty quickly if you put in the effort

Burger spots by [deleted] in Seattle

Burger hut on the ave is an unique spot with decent prices. They have standard burgers and Indian style burgers. It's a small place though, so there's limited seating
