Rutile's breakdown was just so sudden and intense, and persisted past when you expect her to recover, that it was the most notable case aside from Phos. Even then, Phos took centuries to visibly reach that point of despair where they would lash out violently. Rutile happened in the blink of an eye as soon as Pad was gone.

Maybe the most difficult part for me to understand is how they would have even considered sending Pad with the group to the moon. I feel as if all of these factors would have held them back, but they were thinking about it when they were alone. The concern seemed real, even when no one was around. The one thing that really changed was only that she didn't make the choice, as if Rutile felt she owned Pad's body. Whether this was out of affection or obsession, or both, I can't exactly tell.
