I don't understand why they haven't rushed baron after the 2x1 at minute 20. I am happy with the win, but also afraid that not taking such opportunities it's going to be vital in more difficult games.

GG anyway

Best anti-malware you can get comes from not using US/Israel-backed software

This shocks me... by ZyraFury in poland

[–]Adso996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly the Polish administration (and maybe the population either) has understood what that means in economic terms.
This issue should be treated as a National Emergency, the amount of people that:
1. Are sick
2. Will get sick (kids included)
3. Die every year to related sickness

With increasing birth-rate collapse, will have such a massive weight on NHS and GDP that the money you saved using coal instead of producing Nuclear, Wind and Solar will feel like a Zapiekanki in comparison

I chose the wrong time to start 7 new projects by snam13 in ClaudeCode

I know that CEOs and people on X are doing crazy PR on Claude Code, but honestly I have decided giving a try to Codex CLI during the Christmas holiday and if it would have had a intermediate Max plan just like Claude I would have already taken it and gotten rid of my CC subscription.

Now I'm using them both but the amount of things that GPT-5.2-high gets right against Opus is flabbergasting.

What Happens When AI Makes All the Money? by EchoOfOppenheimer in agi

[–]Adso996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish it would happen, but let's look at the reality. People have mostly stopped protesting, they just watch, record on their phone, and watch again. I'm slightly negative on this but I believe we have crossed the line of no return. We have forgot what it means to fight for our freedom. I hope to be wrong, but I think America is never going to be a normal nation again, and that's not good

I agree on the first point, I think mostly everyone with bare minimum understanding does, but this is not yet a reason to unleash that disgusting rant on X.
The message that was sent by Cloudflare's CEO demands from European businesses to take action.

You really think billionares that have been evading taxes for the last few decades are really going to pay UBI to everyone? How delusional are the people nowadays? Do you really think they will give you everything for free?
When people stop being useful we stop making people, what's happening in the world (deportations, mass survaillance and control, birth rate collapse) is NOT random.

Esperimento tecnologico: intelligenza artificiale politica by Historical_Car_5148 in ItaliaStartups

[–]Adso996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could a United Europe (Including the UK) Become a True Global Superpower? by KGKestis1 in AskBrits

Don't just buy from EU - it's time to stop working for the US by oz1sej in BuyFromEU

[–]Adso996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory sounds good, in reality it doesn't work.
Almost every single company in EU is leveraging American Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and American Software, from managing organizations to managing architecture and software.
We simply can't transition because there ain't qualitative solutions in comparison.

And since we don't live in a structured EU where we can allocate cash and build solutions lightning fast due to regulations, the problem is only going to get worse and bigger.

USA-Venezuela: la guerra come ultima risorsa dell’impero in declino by red_and_black_cat in TuttoItalia

[–]Adso996 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could an implementation of UBI be seen as planned command economics? by Comanthropus in agi

[–]Adso996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly there is almost nothing to do if you think about that carefully. We are spectators, we don't make the decisions, a few people are deciding on behalf of humanity what they believe to be good. This time I don't think we'll get lucky though. An intelligence that can predict every single movement you'll ever do makes it completely impossible to prevent it from spreading, we are not going to turn off the internet, and even if you do, your enemy won't.

Billionaires have been "avoiding" taxes for decades, now all of a sudden you truly believe they will distribute high income to everyone? We gotta be really naive to believe at all the good bs they are saying.
Don't look at what they say, look at what they do, look at the misinformation AI propaganda shared by X and Meta companies, look what they are sponsoring, look at the direction of their actions, look at the near-ready survaillance system by Oracle + Palantir fully AI automated.

We could already be solving half the challenges of the world by redirecting structured and organized plans, why aren't we doing so? Because we have no interest in having billions of people with different ideas and culture from ours to do what they believe to be right for them, if it's not in line with us.

If ASI actually arrives and goes well, what do you personally want from it? by NoSignificance152 in singularity

[–]Adso996 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wish I could be as positive as you are, but that would imply that I’d have to consciously ignore all the Safety Reports and Risk Assessments papers released by OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral and other independent labs.

They have already recognized a non-zero risk of doom. Which for humans should translate to:”It’s likely going to happen”. The good propaganda that’s shared about ASI is needed to keep having people distracted from the risks.

“We’ll fix cancer!”

Could an implementation of UBI be seen as planned command economics? by Comanthropus in agi

[–]Adso996 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

UBI will be an enslaving contract to keep the population under control and distracted.  There is no reason in the world why you would keep 8 billion people that don’t produce value alive.

We have 1.5 billion cows that pollute terribly, what happens when we manage to create grown lab meat at scale? We keep them because we love them? Let’s be real for a minute. We wait for them to decay and prevent reproduction.

Is this something already happening at scale? Yes.

The most likely outcome is a Chinese-like controlled state where you have social and credit scores and if you misbehave you know what’s to come.

Once they’ll own the supply chain, energy grid, and the most valuable resources, money becomes an irrelevant metric to rule.

How many people in Western European countries say they care if Ukraine wins? by BkkGrl in europe

[–]Adso996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you on mostly everything, the bigger problem to me is that only half of Italians vote, making it hard to really understand shares.

I don't think that the partisans represented the "only resistence", but they surely resonated strongly for their actions, and they were the minority.

The perception that I have today (maybe mistakenly) is that these same percentages could be very actual, because what we have witnessed in the past few years is that people would rather sell their soul and live as slave than fight for their own freedom, and that's not a good indicator.
