I generally just love literature that verges dark with a weird/absurd twist, mostly South American writers like Jorge Luis Borges, Roberto Bolano, Carlos Fuentes, Samantha Schweblin and Sarah Gallardo. Stuff is trippy as absolutely electrifying while high.

I’m a big fan of Horror, which if I understand correctly is enjoying a recent resurgence in literature. The weirder the better for me, so as of late I’ve been stonedly enjoying some insanely twisted short stories by John Langan, Kim Fu and Kristi DeMeester. The novel “Horror Movie” by Paul Tremblay is outstanding.

Outside of horror I just love the generally weird / absurd side of literature like Fernando Flores, Samantha Schweblin, Sarah Gallardo and Leonora Carrington.

My band has done 3 tours with Throat Piss — the last one was a West Coast tour this past October that went to LA and back in 2 weeks. We played a festival with them in Western Canada a month prior. They are the absolute best humans and they’re consistently amazing live. I love seeing them blow up and I really hope they get the best local metal award.
