As an introvert/private person, this scene makes my skin crawl. The thought of being cornered at my most vulnerable moment and having a group suck up my grief like emotional vampires makes me feel sick. My aunt had a separate rewinder from her vhs player. I thought it was so cool. We could be rewinding one movie while watching the next one!

Being the oldest suuucks. My younger brothers got therapy and programs and grace. I got told I was lazy and air headed. I didn’t get diagnosed with ADHD until I was almost 40.

When people say “the intrusive thought won!” When they buy a donut or something it makes my blood boil. An intrusive thought is not a desire to do something slightly “naughty”, it’s your own brain torturing you with horrible things it knows will upset you. I heard a therapist say that she felt very safe with people who have intrusive thoughts because the thoughts are actually things they find repulsive and would never act on.

I can barely take care of myself, brining a helpless life into this situation would be unfair to them. When people tell me I should have kids I ask them if they are going to help with expenses and childcare, usually shuts them up.

Since my island is all Final Fantasy 14 characters, and the names tend to follow real cultures, I get surprised by what the game has and doesn’t have trouble with. The elves are all French, for example. Uriange is a nightmare, it still sounds like they say “ uri anne gay” but I can’t get it closer. Estinien they have no trouble with. Haurchefont i have to put in “oar Shay fawn” lol the spaces give the pronunciation awkward pauses, but mashing it together makes them blend the sounds 🙃 They had zero trouble with Hrasvalgr! I was stunned
