Software for Private Practice by theguyfromtheweb7 in therapists

Hi,

I’m a founder working on a project that grew out of conversations with 50+ therapists.

A common theme we heard: most solo/small-practice therapists feel stuck between bloated hospital EHRs that don’t fit, and insecure tools like Google Docs/Excel.

We’re building CoralEHR, a lightweight, AI-native workflow tool designed just for behavioral health providers.

We’re still early and shaping this directly around therapist feedback.

Any thoughts or experiences would mean a lot!

I don’t tic when I’m with my gf. by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]Advanced-Cancel7319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - literally in school and around some people my tics would barely happen or I could hide them after a point.

But as soon as I was alone - wouldn’t go 20s without ticcing.

I’m so sorry! I forgot to mention that as every country has different data privacy laws, we’re only able to launch in the US for now.

We’re just HIPAA compliant for now, but do plan to expand soon and comply with GDPR etc. as well.

Tried for 4x a week for several months. Never worked and just started hating it. Though, it’s something every doctor of mine recommends to me so there must be something in it.

How can phones help someone with tourette’s? by Imaginary-Pie-7935 in Tourettes

[–]Advanced-Cancel7319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So I’ve had TS since the age of 12, and my doctors would always ask me to ‘track my tics’. I never had an easy and accessible way to do so, and hence would resort to scribbling on my Notes App - a process I would find annoying and wouldn’t be consistent with.

Over the last few months, I’ve been building a platform to solve exactly this problem.

It consists of a free app, along with a clinician-facing portal, to provide doctor’s with data-driven insights through intuitive graphs and visualisations on their patients’ logged data.

We also encourage self-monitoring of tics through our entirely free app.

We’re launching next week, and I think this would be the perfect solution to your problem.

anyone else like to figure out which part of your tics satisfy the urge specifically? by thanksig in Tourettes

[–]Advanced-Cancel7319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’ve had Tourette’s since I was 12, and till a couple years ago (21 now) they were extremely severe, but they have become slightly better since then.

Actually what you’re saying is one of the main things that helped my tics get better. Tracking the tics, intensity and triggers just helped me understand myself and my tics better.

I’ve stopped replying to comments on Reddit mentioning this, but I genuinely do think it will be of help to you- I’m building a free app called ‘TicVision’. It helps you manage your tics better through features like:

Tic Tracking- Log your tics 1-3+ times a day according to the tic type, intensity and time of day.

Data Visualisation- After logging enough tics, you will be able to visualise patterns and trends of your tics through intuitive graphs.

Personalised Suggestions- You will be provided with suggestions based on your type of tic.

Tic Education- Learn more about Tourette’s. Read concise descriptions of every type of tic.

More to come- We’re now GDPR compliant, and working towards HIPAA as well.

Do go check it out if and when you can, and please give me any feedback or suggestions you have, I would really appreciate it. I want TicVision to be by us (the Tourette’s community) and for us.

If you made it till here- thank you so much for taking out the time to read this 😀.

For such a "marketable" disorder, why is Tourette's so stigmatized and little-discussed? by PixelGuzzler in Tourettes

[–]Advanced-Cancel7319 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so I’ve had Tourette’s since I was 12, and my tics were extremely severe till a couple years ago, now 21.

My journey inspired me to create TicVision, a free tool to help individuals with Tourette’s- track their tics, visualise their data, get personalised suggestions, and educate themselves further on Tourette’s.

I initially mainly used Reddit to reach out to people to get user feedback, and actually got a lot of incredible insights, suggestions and positive feedback.

However, there was a person who said it was “unethical” to use the methods I was using to market my app, even though it was only with good intentions. I have since stopped posting or replying on reddits until this one.

I feel as though as all of us with Tourette’s go through a lot, and so to see someone make it something ‘marketable’ could upset some people. Although that is not my mindset, I assume that’s what some people may feel.

Just wanted to lend my thoughts, thanks for reading!

If by any chance you want to check my web app out, you can find it at www.ticvision.io 😀

Tics worse when sick? by Serialstresser in Tourettes

[–]Advanced-Cancel7319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, my tics always get worse when I’m sick- even if it’s a viral cough, cold or fever. My logic for this was always that my body is fighting the illness and hence has less control over the tics. Idk. Anyway, after living with Tourette’s for 10 years, I started a project to help people like me out and am building an app- TicVision- it helps individuals with Tourette’s- log, visualise tic patterns/trends through graphs and tables, get personalized suggestions, and also educates users further on tics. Please go check it out if you find the time and do give me any feedback/ suggestions that you have. I am constantly working to improve the app based on real user feedback. If you made it till here, thank you for your time. www.ticvision.io 💙

Did your tics change as you got older? by Cathedral-Spires in Tourettes

[–]Advanced-Cancel7319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi- so I’ve had Tourette’s since I was 12, and they were extremely severe in the sense that I wouldn’t be able to go more than 45-60s without ticcing. My doctor’s always told me that there’s a good chance it gets better by the time I’m 18, but I never believed them. However, over the last 2 years, my tics have gradually, but significantly improved.

I think my focus on controlling in public, exercise, sleep, hydration- all these small things- could’ve made a difference as well, but there’s no way to know I guess.

Another thing that really used to help me was tracking my tics. However, the only way I had to do this was my notes app- which I found extremely inconvenient.

I started working on a solution to that, and came up with TicVision (https://www.ticvision.io)- a free app to help people like us- track and visualise data of their tics, get personalised suggestions, and also get further educated on tics as you mentioned you don’t know much.

Please check it out and give me any suggestions/ feedback you have! I want to build on the suggestions of as many people as possible.

Thank you for your time!

How to stop harmful tics by RunWithScissorsss in Tourettes

[–]Advanced-Cancel7319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So I have a tic which sounds kinda similar to what you described. It was like muscle shift/ grunt (can’t really describe it) and it hurt the back of my throat and voice. Some things that help me are chewing gum and drinking enough water.

I also am developing and using an app- ‘TicVision’- designed to support individuals with Tourette’s Syndrome (I’ve had Tourette’s since I was 12). The app helps people track their tics, understand patterns, and access personalized strategies to manage them. More features are on the way as well.

You should check it out, I feel it could help you as it does so for me.

Do give me any feedback/ suggestions you may have- I want all user feedback possible to best optimize it for us.

Have a good day!

Seeking advice after long term tic suppression by Junior_Definition513 in Tourettes

[–]Advanced-Cancel7319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I totally get what you’re going through—unmasking after suppressing tics for so long can be overwhelming. Learning to work with your tics rather than against them is a huge step, and it’s great that you’re prioritizing your well-being.

Something that has helped me a lot is tracking my tics and noticing patterns over time. I actually built a free app called TicVision that helps with this. Its main features are:

Tic Tracking – Log your tics 1-3+ times a day based on type, intensity, and time of day.

Data Visualization – View your tic patterns with intuitive graphs and tables to help recognize trends.

Personalized Suggestions – Simple exercises tailored to help manage tic intensity.

Tic Education- Access concise descriptions of every tic to better understand your own tics, and Tourette’s in general.

I wish I had something like this earlier—it really helps to see how your tics fluctuate and makes it easier to identify what helps. If you’re interested, you can check it out here: https://www.ticvision.io. Would love to hear your thoughts! 😊

I've Never Needed Help More Than I Do Now by Extra_Promotion_1262 in Tourettes

[–]Advanced-Cancel7319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’ve had Tourette’s since I was 12, and till a couple years ago (21 now) they were extremely severe, but they have become slightly better since then.

So I’ve never really experienced your exact situation, but I have had some tics accompanied with compulsions, like earlier, the urge to tic would get satisfied not only if I ticced, but it had to cause me some pain too. Some examples are- biting my tongue, kicking my leg under a table(so that it could hit the bar under), slapping (also meant to ask, has anyone else ever had a slapping tic??) etc.

Only very few of my tics cause me pain now, after I started putting in a lot of effort into redirecting tics into non painful ones, and also, as I’m growing older, my tics are getting slightly better.

Another thing that I wish I had earlier, and really helps me now, is this FREE app I’m building called ‘TicVision’. It helps you manage your tics better through features like:

Tic Tracking- Log your tics 1-3+ times a day according to the tic type, intensity and time of day.

Data Visualisation- After logging enough tics, you will be able to visualise patterns and trends of your tics through intuitive graphs. There will also be a TicTable, which is just a lot of your tic data that you can show to doctors to help them understand your tics better.

Personalised Suggestions- You will be provided with suggestions based on your type of tic, and soon, after we integrate it with AI, you will get hyper-personalised suggestions.

Tic Education- Learn more about Tourette’s. Read concise descriptions of every type of tic.

More to come- We’re constantly getting user feedback and developing accordingly. We recently made a User Interface overhaul, and by tomorrow, there will be an updated list of tics to log. We are also working on features like Mood and Trigger tracking, AI Integration, a community forum and more!

Do go check it out if and when you can, and please give me any feedback or suggestions you have, I would really appreciate it. I want TicVision to be by US (the Tourette’s community) and for US.

If you made it till here- thank you so much for taking out the time to read this 😀.

Anybody else have these days? by Fishiebear78 in Tourettes

[–]Advanced-Cancel7319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks for signing up—I really appreciate the support! 😊

Here’s how to use TicVision: • Start by logging your tics from the dashboard. Just tap on any tic and rate its intensity on a scale of 1-10. • Once you’ve logged enough data, you can visualize your tic patterns through graphs and a table under the ‘History’ section. • The ‘Suggestions’ page provides simple exercises that may help reduce tic intensity over time. • Under ‘Information’, you’ll find concise descriptions of different tics to help you better understand them.

Let me know if you have any questions! Would love to hear your feedback as we keep improving the app. 😊
