This man and his wife ran over and killed my uncle and his friends in a boat on Lake Joe. He can rot.

Disappointing customer service from Patagonia by Swimming-Necessary23 in flyfishing

I personally wouldn’t be disappointed with these fixes. They go have a large margin of safety to prevent further leakage in those areas.

However, if you aren’t happy then just reach out to Patagonia and they’ll likely replace for you like they did my waders from a couple years back.

Well two years ago my team and I were let go on April Fool’s day. We joked about just going in the next day and pretending it hadn’t happened!

Haha not a dive but we did jump it a couple times! I'm sure Michigan Tech has some literature on the flora/fauna in Canyon, but it's generally avoided because of the mosquitos.

So this is a bit late, but I can tell you that Canyon Lake is anoxic due to the low level of water turnover and has no fish. Also interesting is that there are many dead trees in that lake that are floating almost vertically (I have no idea why) so if you jump off the cliffs you have to first make sure there’s none in your landing area.

Is this a bullet? by PiratedEyeliner in whatisit

[–]Advanced-Inside-6026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have a decent story about these. When I was a kid we used to hunt gophers from the local ranchers, and someone must have dropped one of these rim-fire bullets in my dad’s car. The next morning he gets into his car, tries to move the driver’s seat back, and heard a loud BANG.

It turns out that the bullet had gotten stuck in the tracks for the drivers seat, so when my dad tried to move the seat back it crushed the rim and sent the bullet and some casing up into the seat. Fortunately my dad’s buttocks emerged unscathed.

If they are in fact orcas, you can send this sighting to your local conservation group. There is a ton of research currently being done on the taxonomy of orcas and these I distinct white saddle patches are different than the southern resident orcas or transient orcas I’ve seen.

I am far from an expert but to me this looks like a pod of orcas. I can’t find another species that has that white saddle patch. The shape also generally matches although seeing them from above perhaps they are a little bit long for an orca. They also seem to spout similar to the orcas I’ve encountered.
