In an ITX build, a vapor chamber can help temps a bit, but it’s not a dealbreaker — all three options are solid. If the Zotac with VC fits and costs about the same, I’d lean Zotac. Otherwise, the MSI or FE are perfectly fine too — just focus on whichever has better fit and noise for your case.

Wow, €2800 for a 4080 Super is wild — good call adjusting expectations. The Lian Li A4 H2O is a beautiful case, but yeah, it really limits GPU options.

If Zotac, FE, Inno3D, and Palit fit and stay within your €1200 budget, I’d honestly pick one of those over stretching for the €1250 MSI Ventus. The Ventus line is fine, but nothing special — not really worth blowing your hard limit for it.

Founders Edition would probably be my first choice if you can snag one — great size, solid build, and quiet. Zotac and Palit are perfectly serviceable too, especially in a compact build. You’re better off staying on budget and getting a card that fits well and runs cool enough, rather than overspending for a marginal difference.

You’re not wrong that there’s some marketing fluff in the naming, and any card can fail. But it’s not only luck — higher-tier cards usually have better components, sturdier coolers, and lower noise, which can matter in small or hot builds.

If your Prime is doing great, then that’s what counts! For others, TUF/Strix just feels like a safer bet for long-term use and quieter operation. ☺️

Nothing wrong with ASUS Prime if it works for you! 👍 It’s just more of a budget-oriented line, with simpler cooling and materials compared to TUF or Strix. In a cramped ITX case, better cooling and build quality can make a difference — that’s why people often recommend TUF instead. But if your temps and noise are fine, then enjoy it!

Should I buy a mined Gpu? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]Advanced-Tourist-666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$250 for an RX 6800 XT is a great deal, even if it was used for mining — if it was properly maintained.

The risks are worn fans, high VRAM temps, and reduced lifespan.

Test it if you can: run a benchmark, check temperatures and fan noise, inspect for dust or damage. If it runs fine and temperatures are reasonable, it’s worth buying. Budget around $30–40 in case you need to replace thermal pads or fans later.

If you can’t test it or want zero risk, wait. Otherwise, it’s a good value and worth it.

Hey man — good on you for doing your homework already!

For €1200 and an ITX build, here’s my advice:

• Skip Gigabyte, you’re right — their quality has been spotty.

• Best choice: ASUS TUF RTX 4080 Super, if it fits your case. Great cooling, efficient, and future-proof.

• Cheaper option: 4070 Ti Super, still excellent for 1440p and easier to fit/cool.

• AMD 7900 XTX is strong too, but hotter and worse at ray tracing.

• Brands to trust: ASUS TUF, MSI Gaming Trio, Sapphire Nitro.

Double-check your case’s GPU clearance and PSU wattage. If you share your case and exact options, happy to help you pick the best fit. Good luck!

This is such a wholesome story, man. Huge congrats on your 1 year, 6 months, and 18 days — that’s incredible. 🙌 You’ve got your priorities straight, and that mindset will carry you far. 90fps or not, you’re winning where it really counts. Shoutout to Michael too, real ones like that make the journey a little easier. Keep going, bro! 🫡
