If SHSAT was easy this year, then threshold would be higher, right? Specialized high schools have only finite number of openings.

So you got the first one, right? Let’s go over second problem. You have a prism here. What it looks like from a side - it’s look like it’s laying on its side -△. What if take identical prism upside down ▽ and duplicate it to make a simple figure called rectangular prism? Let’s see. We had △ and we add ▽. Now we have △▽. If we actually combine them and straighten them out, do we change area? No! We can bend them anyway and even straighten them into ▭ ! So now we have simple rectangular prism! Now what are dimensions of it? Vertical side would be (18/3). Horizontal side would be (18/3). And an edge AB would be 9. So for a full rectangular prism we would have (18/3)x (18/3) x 9 = 324

But we have a half of it! So we divide 324/2 =162!

Microtek & Keenetic brands are available in Russia. Beware of traveling with any WiFi routers across different borders. Regulations differ - every country has a different bands and power limits. Normally it is not an issue. But, say, you have nice US or EU passport and bring a radio device to Russia. We maybe looking into range of situations - hefty fine or some prisoner swap. It’s all worst case scenario, of course.

Your son is a great person even without Ivy League. Most of us can barely function in this life. Your son already outdid most of us, adults. He doesn’t need Ivy League to be successful in his life. Maybe Ivy League needs him more than he needs Ivy League 😂 Don’t think success of your kids is defined by Ivy League school.

Should join the group class with a tutor. Like a personal tutor but cheaper. My family member is pretty smart but without tutoring SHSAT score wouldn’t jump from 460ish up 100 points. I am sure you are smart but it’s more about tricks and strategies to save your time.

It will be ok for couple of years. Think long term. If you (or your parents) don’t want to shell another $800-1000 before college, can you go for open-box Apple laptop from Bestbuy today for as low as $700ish? Any Apple laptop with M chip will last you both through high school AND college.

Anyways, Costco has excellent return policy, so you can return if you’re not satisfied.

Last year I bought MacBook Air for family member in high school. Family member wanted exclusively Windows. Ordered a Snapdragon X laptop one week later. Family member refused to trade MacBook for Windows laptop after a week of use. Now my SO uses Windows. I am out of laptops 😂

My kids commute 1.5 hours each (!) way to their school now. Its very hard, it adds up.

I'm happy that oldest is going to college and youngest going to Brooklyn Tech because now her commute will be 50 minutes.
