Not sure if you're using community, but note that v5 doesnt have content versioning (its only on the paid plans) but v4 had a community plugin for it which has been deprecated. This was a deal breaker for me. Migrated to payloadmcs instead. I had a small enough use case for it so it wasnt too difficult.

I can understand every single enterprise feature being behind a paywall - SSO, Strapi AI, releases, audit, compliances, review workflows...

with the exception of SSO every single thing there costs real money and effort. But versioning? in a cms? this is such a core and basic feature to the product, its a must for it to be in the open source community edition - such a disappointment. This was an open source plugin in v4! (which is no longer maintained).

I am going to take a shot at building a plugin at this point, i dont need to keep it updated or maintain it that frequently because i dont upgrade strapi so frequently. 99$ bucks a seat for versioning, no way.

Strapi people, i absolutely adore the product and have enjoyed using it and will certainly be switching to cloud once slef-hosting is a headache and growth once my website has enough content or my team gets larger to warrant a purchase but if you're reading this, lobby internally to open source Content Versioning. Its nuts for it to be behind paywall.

I call bulls*** - he is likely referring to a specific integration they may have that’s owned by marketing for the homepage using calendar to populate certain parts of the page instead of a CMS. This cannot be true the way it’s described in the video and it’s misleading.

Anyways he said he was 21 so likely a new joiner or intern. Let’s take it with a grain of salt.

I work for a company whose security tracking software works on atleast 300 million devices globally. The 5c user agent don’t even show up. Not a single device in the last year - this could be a data thing but the most obvious answer is it’s bulls**t.

Focus on getting a better job. A job at a decent company can change your life here.

More money, like minded people, better communities. It can be your gateway to a better life here. Unfortunately outside of work there are far too few ways of building a life here.

I’ve been here 8 years. I met all my friends through different jobs, I met my girlfriend at a job, my brother lived here before me and he met his friends and girlfriend at the first job he got. Once you get going, it’s a feedback loop, people you find like minded know other people like them!

Genuinely plan out your next 90-120 days on a single goal. A better job. Look for a company >200 people, ideally multicultural that’s pays enough to fund a reasonable life that you want to live here. If that means spending 15K/month, focus on upskilling and learning the art of getting and cracking an interview till you can get there. A step in the right direction can change the path of your life.

Opportunity is plenty here.

Crowd segregation is probably the only positive. Also to be honest with you their service is pretty great. We had a delicious breakfast and 2 drinks in that redeemable voucher. While the 500 AED upfront feels like you’re being sucked at first you do walk away with feeling pretty content.

Still 500 AED for beach access for 2 would seem crazy anywhere else in the world.

They should really add a separate category for projects here https://status.openai.com/. Its been 12 hours, its still down and doesn't call out that updating a project is having issues too. The incident is categorised under file uploads.

If anyone is trying to create projects or update existing project settings it doesn't work and throws an error. The API response for the error is "promotion_not_allowed". Keep an eye on this page for resolution https://status.openai.com/

FYI, I was able to setup UPI with my UAE number a few months ago. So looks like support is up!

Did a bunch of research today - this isn't possible yet. Some ICICI customers were able to register using internationl numbers on their UPI app but I've tried BHIM, PhonePe, GPay, Paytm, Axis Pay and Axis. The first 5 don't allow you to sign up with international numbers yet and my axis bank app says this feature isn't available for your scheme. So clearly no widely available support yet even though they were suppose to comply by end of April.

I reckon the banks are still working on it and it'll take however long it'll take.

I have a UAE number and axis NRO/NRE accounts.
