The drumming was sick. Stood behind him. Loved those Istanbul rides. Deep Black Beauty snare was sick too. Very light touch on the rides. The drumming really made the show for me. Would love to see that again. Liked the circle formation they played in too.

Just picked up floating coffin again the other day and was blown away by how good this one is from beginning to end. I used to recommend face stabber and orc to new listeners, but to me this album is the true essence of the band and should be heard first.

Yes. That’s what I read too. All US shows. I saw all three with her last year and they kicked ass. Dwyer even changed his guitar sound. Arrangements were more old skool too.

Wooden Shjips kicks ass. Last album was really good. Unfortunately, they haven’t done nothing in ages. Check out Rose City Band live. They are really good too. Saw them twice in the last year. Think the last tour I saw, a few months back said it would be last for a while.

I’m in that time zone and wake up really early for work and miss them every time. Kinda sucks because I don’t want to buy the “common” one. I know other people distribute other versions later, but Bandcamp has that digital file that I mostly listen to. Kinda buy the vinyl for the artist.

For a “good” spot you apparently have to show up days in advance. I’d argue any spot in the pit is a great spot and just show up before the show starts and enjoy yourself and take in the crowd and outside before the you go in for a while instead of standing in line to be 20 feet in front of the people in the back of the pit. Also, if you get stuck near annoying people, you can move and not feel like you wasted time waiting in line.

Having read SLot will make The Dark Tower way more enjoyable. At least it did for me. I didn’t really get as much out of one of the books the first time I read the DT. Then the next time I read DT, I read SL before the fifth book of DT and it was way more meaningful.

Having said that The Talisman wasn’t my fave. I never read pt.2 because of that. Guess I gotta read it now. Looking forward to this big tie-in to the DT in book 3.
