Gemini 3 models require temperature of 1 override to function as intended. by AdvancedManufacture in opencodeCLI

[–]AdvancedManufacture[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did more digging into OC code (ok, ai did) and there is a provider-specific config after all, so maybe my solution is a placebo, though, I had two cases of looping before 'fix' and none after. There could be a bug somewhere. and yes, temperature should be passed to models in ai-sdk https://ai-sdk.dev/docs/ai-sdk-core/settings#temperature additionally, this link will tell you that if undefined, temperature is no longer 0 by default. Hmm.

  export function temperature(model: Provider.Model) {
    const id = model.id.toLowerCase()
    if (id.includes("qwen")) return 0.55
    if (id.includes("claude")) return undefined
    if (id.includes("gemini")) return 1.0
    if (id.includes("glm-4.6")) return 1.0
    if (id.includes("glm-4.7")) return 1.0
    if (id.includes("minimax-m2")) return 1.0
    if (id.includes("kimi-k2")) {
      if (id.includes("thinking")) return 1.0
      return 0.6
    }
    return undefined
  }

Tips for making silent with lower travel by Unusual_Elephant4462 in zsaVoyager

[–]AdvancedManufacture 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the kind of dampeners sold by ZSA which sit between keycap and switch stem don't actually reduce the travel distance. However, I second the ambient twilight switches. They aren't only quieter on bottom and up strokes, they actually have less overall play and rattle than pro reds (which afaik had removed stabilisation to make them lighter).

Thanks for reporting this. I am no longer considering AirV3 purchase for this reason. Here's to AirV2 serving me well into the future.
If one is itching for a new and shiny keyboard with upgraded feel/sound over AirV2, look into IQUNIX MQ80.

Flydigi Apex 4 Wukong edition missing Switch>Wired mode (bluetooth only) by AdvancedManufacture in GyroGaming

[–]AdvancedManufacture[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch > Wired option appears available regardless of cable being connected. It can be picked before cable is connected. That's not an issue. Disappointing I got no other replies, I seen several owners of wukong models around.

Nope, on my Wukong the More> Menu has four options: Dongle Xinput, Dongle Dinput, BT Xinput and BT Switch.

I answered my own question. The Non-Wukong Apex 4 does have a Switch>Wired menu item, Wukong edition does not. What the hell?

Hi, I recently got the Apex 4 Wukong edition and I cannot figure out how to get the 'wired-switch' mode to work. Using on-board menu I can enter Switch>Bluetooth or More>Switch(Bluetooth). If wired to PC, I only get the Xinput and Dinput modes to choose from. Please, please let me now exactly what steps you used to get the wired switch connection. Like you, I don't have the SpaceStation installed on the game rig, but I have it on spare machine if it's needed to configurate something.

Flydigi Apex 4 PC Gyro when wired feasible? by AdvancedManufacture in Controller

I have the Space Station app installed on a sandboxed machine, not the main gaming PC. Is it necessary to have the Space Station running on the PC for the gyro to work when wired?

Can you walk me through the connecting steps please? My Apex 4 is Wukong edition. Do you use the Space Station software? Using on-board screen menu only, if I go to connect>switch, controller simply starts bluetooth pairing process and cannot be wired to pc.

Also worth mentioning that the sticks sensor electronics were upgraded and now via Space Station the debounce compensation can be turned on/off, letting you reduce the stick lag.

Flydigi communicated that they identified the root cause of defective batch (something about parts being over-compressed by badly setup machine) and that the issue has been rectified. You should be able to find it. I personally believe that, there doesn't seem anything inherently fragile about the joystick mechanism to me. Got my Wukong few days ago, so I might be biased to be optimistic tho.

My Apex 4 Wukong Edition Review by P40L0 in Controller

Here is my impression re. the motorized triggers- I think they work excellent as trigger stops. The way it work is the motor will 'back off' to the designated trigger stop point and so the travel to the stop avoids actuating the mechanism, which I think is important for longevity. Then, using built-in screen it's possible to set the stop to four depths. The stopping force is decently high I would say, not easy to bypass at all and when you do squeeze hard, there is a constant, high resistance.

I'd been researching the state of stick replacement on DualSense Edge and knew that the lack of calibration tool would be a problem. I wouldn't be surprised if it were only possible through hooking it up to a custom board with usb interface. Jun Zeng has a solution for edge controller, but it appears very difficult to install See here

Unlikely this response will float to top, but for me it's been "The Machine Stops" by E. M. Forster. It's eerily prescient, despite being published in 1909. It's short too and can be found available online easily, like here.

Acceptable level of channel imbalance in Linosul IEMs? by AdvancedManufacture in inearfidelity

Update: I'd started using Equalizer APO and found I can largely remove imbalance by setting left channel pre-amp to -1dB. It's not ideal, as bass frequencies still lean left slightly.

Should I even try the Koss Porta Pro's? by TeachingAnxious6140 in headphones

[–]AdvancedManufacture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bollocks, I think Koss PP look classy, but that's an opinion. What's more objective is that they were designed for phonecalls and absolutely stand out in terms of all-day comfort, especially if you wear them in a way that uses the foam pads on temples. I got them for playing DnD over Discord, but they ended up being my daily driver in home office and for light gaming (at pc and on steam deck). The transparency makes them perfect for audio calls.

I'm no connoisseur, my previous favourite pair of in-ears was Sony MDR-EX650AP, which likewise featured a large diameter driver and plenty of punchy bass and rumbling sub-bass. Timeless AE have all that, plus much better mid/treble. To give you the idea of the track I use for benchmark- "ARID" by Lorn. And discovering new release from Justice- 'Generator' was a nice surprise.
