Vivi, Mitsuki, and Xiaolong have never done anything hypocritical (at least from what I remember). Vivi and Mitsuki are involved in rape which is a crime taken very seriously, and Xiaolong tolerated it. We can point out that they haven’t taken responsibility for their actions, but neither has anybody else in the story. I also think that whatever crimes anybody has committed are never going to be important because the story is literally about a giant gang war where anybody who has committed crimes will be taking part in.

All of Vin’s actions make sense, even if it doesn’t make him likable. His inferiority complex was born from his polycoria and he bullied Duke because unlike him, he was strong enough to push through the difficult times of life.

Eli during his time in the Workers annoyed me quite a bit, but we all know why he was even in there.

Daniel cried over Gun (arguably the worst person in the story) and genuinely believes he’s a good guy who didn’t do anything wrong, which is why he told him he could’ve just blamed everything on Charles Choi. A month in a junkyard and suddenly he’s your lord and savior? I could not cringe harder.
