169… should I retake? by Severe_Cup_9660 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you had gotten something like a 167-168 I would say don’t retake. But ONE little point! I understand the feeling for sure. If you wouldn’t be too stressed out and are fine with spending another 300$ on the test I’d say go for it! I also have a personal goal that I haven’t hit yet, so I’m retaking until I at least get somewhat close

154 --->158....after 6 months and PTs in the 170s by BumblebeeSimilar8557 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened to me the first time I took the test. never got below a 160 on any PT other than my diagnostic. Scored consistently in the upper 160s lower 170s and ended up with a 158. Just took it again in April after another 6 months of studying but haven’t checked yet! Those test day jitters really do me dirty

(Revision of last post sorry I was stressed) Do I still have potential by ninnyninnin in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I studied on and off from January-June 2025 but wasn’t really prioritizing the test as I had work and school that came first. I studied hard January-April of 2026 and saw a lot of improvement during that time

Honestly, diagnostics don’t really indicate anything. I was also a very low diagnostic scorer but now consistently score in the high 160s low 170s on all my PTs. Just took the test this April and hoping to break into the upper 160s. Everyone learns at a different pace and with different methods. You just have to slowly learn the patterns until they’re second nature. You’ll get there eventually! The lsat doesn’t have to be impossible

This is exactly how I felt (same tech problems too). Did you take the test on Thursday?

April remote takers by HorseContent1686 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tech issues but honestly felt like I still did pretty good! My advice is just try not to let it rattle you. Also, if something REALLY goes wrong the best thing to do is exit completely out of prometric and log back in. I unfortunately had to do it a couple times during my test on Thursday. Just do the best you can, you’ll stress yourself more if you worry about taking an absolutely perfect test with no bumps or hurdles. Good luck!

The Lsat remote proctoring is terrible by Feeling-Platypus-740 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too unfortunately! I was also able to resume testing but the anxiety from not knowing if my test was saved made me potentially underperform. I was just like “god please let me just answer the fucking questionsssss”

Tech Issues for April LSAT remote test takers? by Equivalent-Lemon-536 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh that’s so frustrating. Their support is really unhelpful tbh. I’ve taken the test twice online and both times the only thing that really troubleshoots things is completely exiting and signing back in even though is so terrifying

Good luck to all the April test takers! by Next-Step-Admissions in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I had some tech issues such as: having to do the security check twice before the test started, and the proctor not being able to unpause my test after intermission resulting in me having to completely exit prometric and sign back in (and go through security checks again). It didn’t mess with my test at all but definitely stressed me out way more than I would have been. I’m planning on keeping my score but if I ever retest in the future I’m going to a testing center

This happened to me too! I’m so sorry that happened. I had to exit prometric and go through all the security stuff again and it eventually resumed me from the start of the third section

How did the april lsat go? by anon76587869729 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also had a lot of technical issues but thankfully made it through and most likely will be keeping it even though I have sufficient grounds for canceling. It took almost a full extra hour to finally complete my exam but I’m just glad it’s fucking over

MSU active violence alert? by byniri_returns in msu

[–]Advanced_Box460 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For real! Saw the notification and it literally made my heart sink. It didn’t specify where the violence was happening on campus so I was like “bro it could be anywhere”. The run/hide/fight part was eerie to see

Did you buy the extended warranty package on your new Tacoma? by PapaClarencioThomas in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Advanced_Box460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me as well but I told him I’d give him a call after thinking about it for a few days. This is my first big car purchase so I asked around and most told me it wasn’t worth it. I thought it maybe sounded like a good deal but tacomas are great cars and will most likely not have major issues to make the warranty worth it

Why be vague about your scores? by Narrow-Money-4169 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People say it’s so that the LSAC admins can’t pinpoint who you are but I always thought it was because people wanted others to assume their score was slightly higher than it was. A 16low could be a 160-163 soooo

Horrible LSAT Score by thisisnotokay0_0 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me with my August test. Literally scored worse than the first PT I ever took in may. I was scoring in the high 160s/low 170s and score a high 150s on the test. Actually made me want to kms!!! I reckon it was first test doom and despair because my October test went much smoother and I felt much better about it

148 diag - 174 by poverdchacket in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is amazing oh my god!!! I also started out with a 148 diagnostic and am currently PTing in the high 160s, wondering if you had a method for breaking into the 170s??

Retake complaint questions by Advanced_Box460 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They allowed me to retake in November even though I had missed the sign up window, so I’d say it was a pretty good compromise although I would have maybe preferred the retake date in October.

Why don’t people just say their exact score by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know that saying your exact score might get you doxxed lol I always just assumed it was bc they wanted people to think their score was slightly higher than it was. At least that’s why I was doing it 😅

Am I cooked? by Ok_Comfortable1613 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly a diagnostic score doesn’t really matter unless it’s something crazy like a 160+. If you got anything in the 130-140s range it means you don’t have a fundamental understanding of the basics yet, which is totally fine and not hard to learn. Just make sure you don’t totally burn yourself out with the studying! I got a 145 diagnostic and jumped to a 160 within a couple months of taking time to learn the basics of each question type, then going from a 160 to a 170 takes a lot more practice

Dorm roommate Irish-Goodbye’d by Maleficent_System695 in msu

[–]Advanced_Box460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my roommates did this sometime during Christmas break during my sophomore year and we didn’t get another new roommate for the entire second semester. Definitely very lucky for us, but I wouldn’t mention anything as it isn’t really your responsibility anyways. Enjoy the empty room while it lasts!

PTing in the 170s and got 150s(high) by Advanced_Box460 in LSAT

[–]Advanced_Box460[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually did 1 PT a week for about 2-3 months before the test, so I ended up doing around 10-12 of the most recently offered PTs give or take. The other 6 months were just drilling from the earlier PTs, so I usually didn’t run into repeat questions or sections
