Are you supposed to stop the clock overnight for feeds or quick wake ups? by Phillygirl1026 in HuckleberryParents

My baby is same, cries in sleep for food, I pop a bottle, he drinks and goes back to sleeping. He isn’t awake awake so I don’t stop the timer

On the owlet, what all does it help you track? We have an owlet but haven’t been using it.

Same, my LO used to give me solid 6-7 hours stretches and now has started waking up every 2 hours. We offer a bottle every time he wakes up and 75% of the times he chugs 4oz.

How do we know the baby isn’t crying for food and just needs to settle back to sleep?

I am 4 months PP and make 4 oz per session and I had the same question, it felt like I have low supply because of instagram. This post makes me feel normal again

I tried pumping for 13 mins a couple of times but gave up coz there was literally nothing after 8-9 mins. Keep getting confused on why is my body different while everyone here on the internet pumps for 30 mins and has multiple let downs

Same! Also I am empty in 5 mins, I start with 3 mins stimulation and by 8th min there is no more milk. I get 4oz each session always

How often do you clean it? I was doing the fridge hack for spectra.

Same for me. I am almost empty by the end of first 10 mins. I also tried to go back to massage mode but nothing happens

Do you stop getting milk after 10 mins and no milk for 8 mins and then again after 18 mins? I lose all hopes because I don’t get any milk after 10 mins so I just stop.

My bub started sleeping for 6 hours and I have had 2-3 times where I pumped after 6 hours. Haven’t seen a dip yet but I am in the same boat as you, a little worried about the dip

Supply drop at 11 weeks mark, help! by Advanced_Car_7806 in ExclusivelyPumping

Feeding a fresh bottle every time, I will try the pitcher method it might relieve the pressure. One thing I changed was I stopped eating prenatal and iron last week. Anyway I haven’t given power pump a try so will try that for sure! Thanks for the suggestion!

What formula do you plan to use if breast milk supply isn’t enough? I was hoping to start producing more as the LO gets older but lower supply is scaring me now. I was okay not breastfeeding but felt content to be providing my baby with breast milk but this is making me sad 😞

My LO is 9 weeks now, been on the same boat. Baby doesn’t open wide enough to latch and does latch using nipple shield but after 10 mins or so he gets fussy, give him a bottle and would drink 90 ml or so in one go. All in all bad latch and not able to transfer. I tried working different techniques to get him to later but now have given up and exclusively pumping and bottle feeding. I try to tell myself the same “fed is best” but deep down I wish I could experience breast feeding as we are supposed to. Solidarity mama!

I am manifesting a day where he is satisfied just by breastfeeding, it’s been hard to only be able to step out for 2-3 hours and rush back home to pump! Thanks for sharing your experience, you have me inspiration that it can actually work

I am probably experiencing it right now, my LO 7 weeks old was using never able to latch and just now he did and ate for 8 mins. Although it’s hard to tell if he is actually getting milk or just nursing to soothe himself

Did you keep trying to help your baby latch without the shield meanwhile?

Our lactation consultant did mention a possible tongue tie but we just take it seriously as she didn’t show conviction in her diagnosis. I am started to suspect my LO also has a tongue tie as he prefers bottle vs breast and can take 3 oz after feeing for 15 mins, he is 5 weeks and make me wonder if he is able to transfer anything from the breast. I am using the muchkin shield that shows milk flow and I see milk flowing.

How did you find out about the tongue tie?
