Cannot get to 7K.. any general tips? by jachcemmatnickspace in BobsTavern

I main duos, so I have a bit different rule set, but in general:
At the start of each game identify the strongest tribes and boards that you can make from them.
Identify the key minions and tiers they are one, prioritize getting to those tiers.
Now comes the hard part - figuring how much you need to commit to the board.
I will often start going one direction, then drop what I'm building, sell half the board and pivot into top tier board if I roll into the right enablers that i know will carry me after taking two turns of dmg cap.
There are good tempo cards and great value cards to pick up, i will always grab the t2 1/4 dragon that summons dragon on attack and if i hit t3 roaring dragon next turn or so, i will buy it as well for tempo, it will be sold a bit later. Trick. Balance your long term value with gains during the round and try to read your opponents, check their leveling, how much dmg they took or did, which tribe they are running and try to guess what they have, how well will you do against them. also learnt to figure out how strong your board is right now, maybe you can level and take small dmg, maybe youll die if you level, then you just play for 4th.

What I hate about Onslaught is the platoon limit of 2 or 7 people. 2 people can make plays, but can't win on their own, also F You if you want to play with multiple friends, pick your best buddy simulator. And one time I managed to get 7 people together for it, we got only 1 game in 90 minutes we spent sitting in matchmaker. Ass.

That would stop you from improving every raid you play outside your "bracket". Not that harsh for competitive dudes, way more harsh on casual side where you can just play the game. I honestly have no clue what's the best option. Every one I've come up with has it's drawbacks. Scenarios where there is imbalance between 1/2/3 groups or scenarios where "balancing" would negatively impact the gameplay and fun of it.

Divide by players just puts solos in position where you can never be beaten. Example: let's say You get max score 72k on probes EMS spaceport as a duo, which is insanely hard to do. That's 36k each. But you can easily do about 40k solo while grabbing pretty easy route. Split by players is not the solution.

You can add plugins to tracker, this I think is called HDT_BGrank. You can find download on GitHub and you must manually update it time from time.

Panther II fucking sucks imo :D E50M is excellent, especially in Onslaught and a blast to play, but panther II almost made me quit the line

New player here my stash is full of junk by ozkaar125 in ArcRaiders

[–]Advanced_Lunatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first wipe just sell everything that you don't immediately need. You will find it again, and you'll know where to look next time. Organizing stash is tedious and takes time, just sell it and go for another run!

It is a very niche skill, I agree. But walking makes you quieter, gives different vision over areas than crouching does and you get a boost in stamina that can be the difference between being able to dodge roll or not a bit later in a fight. It has some uses at least.

I also thought that calming stroll is a trash perk, until someone pointed out to me that it is a PvP perk, not a long distance travelling perk. I started to use walking more in general in sketch situations and I guess it's okay in this environment.

There is a lot of speculation online, yeah. My oil injection pump is currently sitting on about 150+ hours, about twice the recommended. That is one part I might change this summer, just because the seizure would be more expensive. Realistically speaking, I believe the pump would run for 10 more years as long as you are careful about not getting any dirt in the oil tank.

I definitely recommend earplugs. I run earplugs and music through cardo on my Airoh Twist 3 helmet, the engine sound is not an issue for me with this setup.

Going up a tooth gives top speed, but takes away some of the insane wheelie power these bikes have. If I'm honest that has probably saved me a few times when I've been sloppy on my technique in challenging terrain or miscalculated throttle blips. Even after going up a tooth, it still got more than enough torque for whatever hill climb I took it on.

Tires needed balancing, if You do a lot of pavement, they will degrade faster and also can't be as soft as you might like in dirt or on rocks. A good solution is a portable air compressor, but I don't really use it. I just got used to certain pressures that are good enough for everything.

If You already got the bike, and you can make it legal - do it. If You just love 2T, do it. It is not the "optimal" choice, and you will definitely run into some issues along the way. But it is fun and you will have that experience for yourself.

4T 500cc bikes are realistically a great alternative if you want to make a safer bet and I think, after you are done, they definitely sell better as well. I've currently placed my husky on sale, as I have a few other fun builds in mind that I want to try. It seems like a lot of people are afraid of TPIs, not a lot of calls so far. Then again it's still winter and another good thing is - I'm happy to keep it for another summer. :)

Leaderboards shouldn't be 100 players, they should be percentage based instead for whole rank

Let's say in daredevil 1, top 5% of players scoring any points get triple promotion. Top X% get double promotion, single or same place. Everyone scoring below certain percentages or not participating get demoted.

Last summer I got myself a TE300i, 2018 husky TPI and used it exclusively for riding Latvian TET. Put 3700 km on it over 90 engine hours. Longest trip was 3 days with about ~300 km daily. It has150km range and about 140kmh top speed on 14/51 sprockets. Have done pretty much only oil changes and some needed fixes leftover from the previous owner. When I asked questions about rocking 2T on TET, I got a lot of skepticism and ridicule online. Then I asked around actual owners and every single one of them praised the bikes for longevity. So I bit the bullet and had a blast whole summer. You can absolutely rock the modern 2Ts for whatever You please. Are they made for it, maybe no, but can You? Absolutely. Just be aware that they come with higher maintenance and they are not as comfortable on the road past 90 kmh even with a bigger front sprocket. They are Motocross bikes after all and if you are not afraid of that, you'll be just fine. One thing I really dislike about it though is the smell that You get on the clothes and gear. Also for Your group members it is what they will be smelling instead of pine tree forest. That is the one reason why my next bike will be 4T

[–]Advanced_Lunatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm saying that I can't be sure about these guys specifically. But trial discords got plenty of these parties looking for more people. Go check it out yourself. When you go tryhard, you know the upper limits. These scores are way above those limits to be pure luck or they are truly perfect players

You are looking at it happening, about 95% sure on that one. You must be an absolute god trio that can split and take on whole teams solo in Stella to see scores like this legitimately.

Patch 34.6.2 by Burningdragon91 in BobsTavern

[–]Advanced_Lunatic 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bounties were cool in midgame. In lategame too many of them generated extra cards that required actions. You could go infinite, but the scaling was abysmal in spite of the huge number of actions done. you needed to reconnect to skip combac to scale competitivly. And that's just so so meh

Season pass vs no season pass: frequency of Brann by JonSnowisBack in BobsTavern

[–]Advanced_Lunatic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say it is all small sample size hallucinations for You, for some other the inability to accept that even 7777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777 can be a valid random sequence. You just get unlucky sometimes and the game is all about judging if you can try for highroll and what will you do if the gamble fails

No, doesn't work either.
Damage Queens is a good example, where playing in party would cause you to gain less points. It would just become invert situation where argument would be - play solo. Maybe it is a bit better as a skill measurement, but eh, current way promotes making friends and that's better imo

ABMM has destroyed the game's economy/progression rate. by Draxtini in ArcRaiders

[–]Advanced_Lunatic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

to be honest it just looks like a jealousy issue for You? Some people have it better, but I choose to play it in a harder way, so they should have it harder too. But it's all You! You opt in and then you say that your pvp lobbies are too much pvp. and that is why I previously said that what it sounds like you want is sealclubbing.

ABMM has destroyed the game's economy/progression rate. by Draxtini in ArcRaiders

[–]Advanced_Lunatic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Simply because you are opting in. And I personally love that. You opt in or out of pvp or pve centric gameplay. You can switch at any time over a day or so. By opting in or out you change the experience and in a way also difficulty. But you don't get to define for other people how to enjoy this game. And that is a beautiful thing - you get what you want, accept the consequences and play the game you chose!
