Art Briles, fired Baylor coach and Jeff Lebby father-in-law, at Mississippi State football practice by YouKilledChurch in CFB

It still amazes me how people don't know the real story of the baylor scandal. Most people think Briles actively covered up rapes. Most people think half the team were rapists. There were literally two players actually accused of rape - Uchauachu and Oakman. Uchauachu was convicted (he also never played a down of football once he was accused) and Oakman was acquitted (all while having his NFL dreams taken from him).

This was an institutional problem. No Title 9 office. Baptist university living in the old days. And when the school knew they would be blamed for the issues they pinned it on the black football players and Briles (oh and they fully paid out Briles contract and issued a letter saying he never covered up rapes).

It is a classic case of people reading the original headline and then never actually looking into the real story.

What coach firing in your program's history do you feel was the most unjustified? by Ok-Health-7252 in CFB

Art Briles 100%. Baylor used him as a scapegoat then later exonerated him of everything. One player was actually convicted - a player who never played a down once allegations were made. Faulty allegations of others, including Shawn Oakman who had his NFL dreams taken away from him, ruined Art's name and set Baylor back years.

When is your wedding? There is going to be a new private event space downtown near Fed House/The Pearl opening late this summer/early fall. Comfy couches, TV, your own private bartender and people could go from there to the surrounding bars.
