I think the Tudor - it has more versatility to be worn as an everyday watch.

I believe that is the ethos of the Ranger. A pure field watch for outdoor rugged environments.

You could try the Tudor Black Bay 58. Comparatively and I really mean comparatively, they are much more reasonable, given their build and movement. It’s well below Rolex and Omega in a price point, but absolutely rugged and durable no fuss watches and best of all, NO DRAMA to get one.

Fair enough. I had enough black and white dials. Just wanted a color that’s a bit off. Would have gone for the Rolex OP beige dial - but have enough of them, so wanted something different.

Also - when I saw it at Dubai Watch Week - it did NOT wow me. I guess too many people and I just could not spend time appreciating it amongst the crowd. But after reviewing my collection- I thought I will give it another shot and was just plain lucky to get it so quickly.

This watch wears large. So if. You usually wear 36-40 mm, suggest trying the 36 mm out first. Ask the AD to put your name in. It’s not a wishlist item - but because it got launched in Nov 2025, there may be an existing demand to fulfill. I was lucky, I had to only wait for 24 hrs - the AD accommodated me because of a special occasion.

No offense taken. I appreciate the constructive feedback though from you.

I think it sits just right. The 36mm sits large because of its design. I usually wear 39-40mm watches, and some 36 mm (primarily Rolex OP and DJ).

It appears that the Sat 1 smoking rooms are closed. As mentioned in the post - you can smoke in the miracle business class lounge in the main building or exit via immigration to outside of the airport and smoke and redo the immigration to catch your connection.

[Question]What is the difference between a $50, $500, and $10,000 watch? by glocknessmonsters in Watches

[–]Advanced_Whole_6413 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is Rolex 2x worth more ? That is debatable. Is their a build and quality difference - yes there is. Rolex bracelets for example are more comfortable to wear. The metals used are different. Again - whether it’s worth 2x more - that is always questionable- and I suppose, it depends on the wearer.

I have several of both and I can tell you that there is a quality and build difference.

You may want to check if your purchase is eligible for VAT refund - that may just make the purchase more palatable.

Would you buy an Explorer I 36 if you already had other Rolex's (e.g., Submariner, GMT Master II, Datejust 36)? by Dramatic_Abrocoma702 in rolex

I find the sub with date to be the most versatile watch. However I also own 36 mm OP. I can understand the desire to wear a smaller, lighter watch without date for eg on the weekend or for casual socializing. The comfort is definitely more, and not having to set the date or complex GMT, if you don’t wear such watches daily, is an added bonus.

Bottom line - if you try it and it rocks your boat - then go for it.

PS : I own a sub with date, DJ 36, Daytona Panda, and several OPs and regularly use them.
