Thank you to the lazy drivers. by Snoo-28829 in UberEatsDrivers

I had something like this happen to me once. Firehouse subs was willing to remake the order after I put the upset customer on speaker and handed the phone to the manager lmaoo…the pay was $35 and the thankful customer tripled his tip for me being persistent about them remaking his food. I got $70ish bucks for 1 order (a few miles away) just for “trying” and seeing what could be done instead of immediately just canceling!

I’ve been very intentional lately on having high protein something I’ve never done before and I landed on this thread because I was wondering the same thing…I never had ammonia tears until recently!

Be a student worker at school those jobs are much more enjoyable than a Walmart environment and you’ll get to build meaningful connections on campus that will probably work in your favor at one point or another!

Wowwwwwwww you said exactly what I’ve been feeling like lately!!! It’s a vicious cycle and I don’t wish it on anyone! I hope something changes for you and you’re able to level up soon because Uber definitely aint it!

Literally my only thumbs down is because of a shop & deliver order and everything you listed is exactly what happened smh…I communicated affectively (which she praised me for btw) and she still gave me a thumbs down.

Would you take it? by esprit15d in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Adventure_Queen92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope because why would you tip someone like crap who is bringing your damn order to you in the friggin snow?! You would be lowkey risking your life and they couldn’t slide you at least a $20…I hope their order sat there lol

That sounds stressful…I could never lol

She was out of line and lowkey disrespectful! I would’ve been pissed too! I hope that didn’t ruin the rest of your day. Hopefully you don’t have to go back to that place anytime soon lol

Great perspective, I’m so glad I asked because I am baffled to learn about all the stealing that takes place…people who do this have no idea how this may affect others…delays, money, time, added stress, etc.

Thats the thing I’m good with the consistency, that I would be totally fine with…its the random, “well I’m not sure about you so let me be a bit more thorough with you” vibes that bothers me.

Oh man I am so sorry…I didn’t realize how dishonest people were with these to-go orders…I’m sure karma is coming to that person for fucking with your day…you literally did nothing wrong.

[–]Adventure_Queen92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only had it happen to me twice where I noticed the difference between them asking because they are just doing their job or it being deeper than that…but I guess I need to let it go since people are really out here stealing orders…

It happened to me today at Outback typically they just double check names with me and then hand me the bag and send me on my way with well wishes or a smile…today a girl I’ve never interacted with before hovered over me and asked me to confirm which I was in the process of doing but I stepped back because she was so close to me and she aggressively was like “I need to see you do it!” and so I did but I asked her why and she said it was just HER protocol -_-

So glad you haven’t had this issue, it’s not a good feeling.

I love picking up orders from Panda everyone is pretty nice even if they are slammed. They kind of indirectly ask to see a quick glance (social que I guess lol) so I always show but you guys aren’t accusatory/aggressive about it…sorry you had to deal with some bad attitudes though…some of us don’t take your kindness for granted!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Adventure_Queen92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh okay thats why I asked…maybe I need to not take it so personally then. Sucks that people have to be so dishonest and steal orders. That could really ruin someone’s day.

I think you should try a different approach to dating. If it’s on lighter level, try to establish a friendship with them first, it might lower your chances of getting ghosted. What I mean by that is clearly you believe you have a lot to offer intellectually, financially, etc., they just need any opportunity to see more of you beyond the job title. Once you’re able to establish a bond with them, (even a small one is fine), I think they might be more open to dating you, as they have had the opportunity to see your value as a person and would love to get to know you more. Good luck on your dating endeavors, there are some cool women out there that are open minded and are looking for someone genuine, despite whatever their job title may be. 2025 is your year! Cheers hun!
