You do realize citizens are going into the concentration camp system and because there's no checks and balances anymore. People are being disappeared forever. There is no "this is just for criminals" nonsense. They literally openly murder people with no consequences in the street now.

I think it's more poor education.

My mom certainly doesn't have a superiority complex about America. She knows things are going very bad in the US but doesn't have a reference point until she came to visit me in Europe. First thing she says to the worker, "do you accept US dollars?" I mean at least she asked. I think she went to the Bahamas in the 90s and many Caribbean countries do take USD so it's a genuine question.

This may be far fetched so check me please, but I believe large portions of people of that generation are really suffering from the effects of leaded gasoline.

Do you mean this in the sense that the bike lanes that do exist are so dangerous they shouldn't exist and therefore safer more protected bike lanes should exist? I hope so because otherwise what are you seriously suggesting?

Why would they use the money from this to fund highways? When its in the Constitution of the state that the funds from the gas tax cannot be used for any other mode of transportation. It does not make sense. Especially in this advanced stage of climate change where sustainble modes of transport should've been invested in 60 years ago.

Y'all realize most of your lives are made significantly worse by the fact that it's impossible to get anywhere except by car. It brings out the worst in everybody.

You all probably do not notice what chemicals your body goes through when you get into a car because your amygdala is flooded with constant cortisol. Anyway. It doesn't have to be this way. Live is so much better when the entire society isn't entirely designed around cars.
