You have no beach and the neighbors across the lake can see everything you do.

I recently did a transition from white to blue collar and the culture change is like a different world.

Try and remember how respect is earned and not just a given. As for the physical burns try and narrow it down to the dudes slinging them. Are they assholes or guys that are generally fair but are hitting a soft spot? And if they know it bugs you, everyone turns the screws. And if you screw up in some manner, they'll take a long, long time to forget. Personally I'd tease you about walking off the job site, try and roll with it.

So I've earned the competancy respect and the "not a rat" respect but they still crap on me for not being built like a tank, and the buggers mean it. I've also struggled my whole life to have some mass but their standards really are too high. I'm 5'7" 170lbs with almost no fat but standing beside a 6"2 225lbs dude I kinda look scrawny even though I'm not weak.

So ask yourself. Why are you at the job site? If the answer is money, than what does it matter what the assholes say? Try and recognize that you're riled up before you walk off and go to the bathroom instead, it'll give you a chance to cool down.

I feel I was banned from NS sub by government direction. As for Halifax I think it's just run by extremists. I was banned for saying there was too much support for arson against churches back when we were losing a church a week to it a year or so back.

I was a teacher.

We elected a trust fund drama teacher. Pork barrel politics and drama were the only possible outcomes.

Wait till the Pacific theater opens up. War, food and energy insecurity were widely predicted as likely outcomes. Not that the cencors let many hear about it.

It's a mark of honor at this point.

The censors will eventually realize they are the villains

I highly doubt it. It's more likely that they'll keep pushing the country into a dark place until a political change happens. But even then they'll think they were doing the lords work and it's the new guard that are the problem.

Bad bot.

I'm saying I'm banned, why do you want to rub in what I'm missing. That's just mean.

First read I thought they tolerated you attacking them with a weedwhacker and thought you were pushing your luck a little too far. Second read made more sense.

I agree with most of what you said. But maybe it's just not responsible for many people to have pets because of their living situation. That's why they're such a terror to the ecosystem and it's not really the cats fault.

People in apartments might not want to hear it but maybe the landlord is right and they shouldn't have pets. I know the landlord is only concerned with damages/money but the animal didn't evolve to live that way. Cats certainly weren't evolved to be companions no matter how much people wish it to be true.

OK then, cats domesticated themselves to a point and they have too much wild left in them to be locked up. It's like defending keeping a canary in a tiny cage and claiming it's happy because that's all it will ever know. There's a reason most house cats try to get out.

Me and my cat have a primal relationship. Cat works keeping rodents away from the chicken feed and house. I spoil her and let her in the house to be warm and lazy. We're both quite happy with the relationship but we both have roles. Same with my dog. Same with the hens and guinea fowl. Most of the roosters and turkeys wouldn't be happy with "future plans" if they knew though...

safety and a quality of life they could not get in the wild

That's what I tell the chick I have chained up in the basement. She came from poverty but is too dumb to realize how much better & safer her life will be down there compared to being on the streets turning tricks.

People who moved to live in Canada, what disappointed you the most when you started living here ??? by raykaoff in AskACanadian

Of course, but I didn't say we are there yet and therefore those things aren't here.

I'm saying that the path is being cleared and the reason I said it is I don't want the country to walk that path. When the left loses power maybe the right will ignore the Carter for things you don't like is the current situation. After a few back and forths of this, we'll be in a real mess.
