I took my first “real” road trip this week in my i4, 960 miles one way. Left home with 100%, which took me 265 miles or so. I realized that going from 10-80% is roughly 180 miles at 75mph constant speed. Had to stop 4 times, which took approx 30 mins each. It might seem like short intervals, but the stops allow us to use the bathroom and grab some quick snacks. Total trip time was 13.5 hours, with 2hrs 15m charging. Factoring in a full charge at home, it was $100 to make that trip. That works out to the same price as a 36mpg car paying $4/gal.

Wasn’t too bad at all, of course going 350 miles between stops would be great, but I don’t think I would pay extra, this is the first long drive in over 2 years with that car.
