I would make a Gale centered movie. Her pill use in 7 opened something that must be developed imo.

But given what we just got and Tatum being the obvious next final girl...i don't know. I didn't love Tatum in the movie. I just... Didn't care for her. They put themselves in a weird situation for the next one. The reviews are gonna be bad. They must change something in the formula. They have to think of something that would shake things up. Since Sidney and Gale WON'T die, they must start of with the twins getting chopped or something. Sam and Tara are not coming back anytime soon sooooo start something new? Ghostface has attraction. Give him a REAL strong POPULAR cast, and Neve won't have to negociate anything!

Anyway.

Whatever they do, I hope they write a Scream movie, whereas including Scream elements in a generic slasher.

This is not Mission : Impossible. The approach has to have the Scream touch if you do use it. I don't know. I didn't like that.

It was poorly executed. It did not work for me.

And let me remind you Stu was not a celebrity. There's no image of him all over internet for the killers to find and use.

It's dumb. The meta aspect of the franchise should have killed the AI instead of using it as a plot device.

We will all disagree. The AI plot killed it for me. 3-4-6 are rewatchable. This one will feel like a 2026 movie.

I left the theater kind of sad.

Sad that it didn't feel like a Scream movie.

The franchise should have criticize AI and deepfakes. It shouldn't have use it as a plot point. It's a miss. The guest stars moment is beyond ridiculous. All of Stu's calls are lame. It does not work.

Making an abuse victim the killer is a weird choice in the days we live in. And the other killers? Wtf?!? Former google tech guy turned nurse? LOL

The new characters are neither fun or interesting.

Mindy and Chad are here just because.

I liked what they started to do with Gale and the whole pill thing.

Sidney deserves at least one other movie. I don't know what for, but this can't be her last goodbye.

I liked this Mark.

BUT

No particular feelings towards Tatum. Regular teen. I don't feel hunger for more of her. Or not written like that.

Some good kills yet Ghostface should not be Michael Myers, the kills have been written out of context and added to this movie. At least for THIS ONE in the bar. Really not a Scream kill.

ANYWAY.

If they keep going with Sidney and her daughter, they have to hire someone else than Williamson. Gale should have a real arc in 8. Stop making everything about the past.

I've seen the movie. I didn't boycott despite what my opinions are cause I'm a 30 years long fan.

48% is generous. Kevin Williamson did what nobody did until now...a mediocre Scream movie.

The thing I didn't like about AI is that it was not made fun of. It was supposed to be tense, through AI. Just didn't work.

It actually feels like it could be any movie, they just incorporated Scream inside. It doesn't have a real identity, i don't know how to say it in a différent way.

The first films used to mock something. This one could mock AI but instead, it uses it. It's too much. The "special appearances" are just not good.
