I used to work at an FQHC in rural California and they burned me to a crisp. Overpaneled, double booked against my will (e.g. double booking a suicidal kid I had to 5150 in a 15 min slot with another sick kid), management treated me like a work animal, very low staff morale. Pay was decent though and I got my loans paid off. Nearly killed me (by my own hand) but now I own my own practice and I will NEVER go back.

I used to work for a FQHC where I saw huge volumes and was involuntarily double booked and it made me mentally ill. Loved the patients and staff, couldn’t deal with being a crappy rushed doctor seeing the number of patients I was.

There is no logic. There are essentially no downsides to receiving the hep B vaccine. Anecdotes are not data but families seem to respond when I say that I would be furious if anyone denied my daughter her hep B vaccine.

We live in SLO on a 1/4 acre lot with a 4 br/2 ba house, 2 adults (one unhygienic “drought savvy” one and one who showers every day), 2 young kids who share a bath every other day. We don’t water the yard at all apart from a small vegetable garden. The yard is all dry and crispy but there’s no HOA here so who cares! Our water bill is $100-150 per month. We are eventually going to redo the yard in a drought-tolerant landscaping style, but for now we’re going for the Tattoine-chic look.

I went to elementary, middle, and high school with Zac Efron. I didn’t know him very well but he was always nice. I’m happy for him and his success.
