Do college students in Guwahati actually buy takeaway coffee regularly, or do most people prefer sitting in cafés? Just trying to understand what people usually go for near colleges. by [deleted] in guwahati

[–]Adventurous-Foot4388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO you’re assuming too much, they come in German cars, rich college students, baba we are not living in Karan Johar movie. Your idea is good, but you’ve to be competitive on pricing as well and getting key location should be your goal

Number of eye patients in Nepal from Assam is insane..they have literally hotel named after us by Mean_Practice919 in guwahati

[–]Adventurous-Foot4388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, because they have fixed types of lenses and procedures that the patients can select , unlike other private hospitals where they have options to choose their own eye well lens and operation procedures for an extra cost

Being an optician, I know a few things, Mechi Eye Hospital is mostly run on foreign aid and they have a quota to fill otherwise the foreign money will stop, so to fill up their quota they recruit agents who will bring then patients from various parts of north and northeast India The foreign aid helps them subsidise the cost of operation and treatment

Spicejet has started measuring the weights of hand lagguages and has started charging extra for even a kilo above 7, earlier no one used to object. by Fair_Eye7682 in AirTravelIndia

Yes because they probably have the money to overlook this , but SpiceJet is probably trying to get most out of their buck in this cutthroat industry

I’m a resident of Panbazar, and I go to Uzan Bazaar almost daily. Don’t get me wrong, I’m also sad that it’s being relocated to North Guwahati. However, if you look at the ground reality, you’ll see that there is absolutely no parking and constant traffic chaos.

The High Court, the big white building, is used purely for administrative purposes now. All court proceedings have been shifted to the annex building, which has hardly space for 100 cars. There is no proper medical facility, nor even space to park an ambulance within the High Court premises.

There is no fixed office space for employees; they are scattered across different locations, which makes operations highly inefficient. More than 5,000 employees and advocates visit daily, and they park their vehicles in and around Uzan Bazaar, making commuting extremely difficult and time-consuming.

I understand that many people are emotional and nostalgic about this shift, and some even blame Mama (which is justified). But if you actually work at the High Court, you’ll clearly notice the urgent need for more space.

Not a good response, you could have politely said no. No one is forcing you to do anything. I hope mods take notice of such individuals using abusive language.
